Course FAQs

How do I tell if a course is accredited for CLE in my state?
Check the credit details section on the course details page to see the approval status, amount of credit hours, and credit types available in your state.
How do I access my courses?
Courses are available within your account. Simply login to your account and click on My Courses. If you require additional assistance please call our Customer Service Department at 800-930-6182.
Are multiple attendee discounts available?
Yes, the more people you bring from your organization, the more you save. After the first registration, each additional attendee receives a special discount off of their total tuition.
Do you have options for attendees who are deaf or hard of hearing?
Closed captioning is available for all Live Webinars. After you've joined the event room, you can enable closed captioning by clicking the "cc" button in the lower right of the player.
Can multiple people watch courses and request credit?
While only paid registrants can receive continuing education credit for attending, there are no limitations to the number of viewers at each connection.
How late can I register for a Live In-Person Seminar?
You may register at the door; however, pre-registration is encouraged. If you need to register at the door, we recommend you call us first to confirm availability and any schedule or location changes. Please call our Customer Service Department at (800) 930-6182 with any questions.
Does NBI offer programming that fulfills new attorney CLE Requirements?
Yes! We offer compliant bridge-the-gap programming wherever possible. However, some states require new attorneys to take courses that can only be offered by the state bar. Not sure what your jurisdiction requires? Check your state's CLE requirement page to learn more.
Will I receive a certificate of completion?
Yes, we'll email you a certificate of completion and store in your account for any future reporting needs.
Which school licensures are held by NBI, Inc.?

Arkansas Department of Higher Education
NBI, Inc. is licensed by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education.

Office of Career School Licensing
NBI, Inc. is licensed by the New Hampshire Department of Education Office of Career School Licensing. There are no enrollment prerequisites or admissions requirements for this course, and there is no exam or grading system. Satisfactory progress is based solely on attendance at the course. Credits may not be transferred. All refunds shall be paid within 30 days upon written notification from a student of cancellation or withdrawal. Students receiving benefits from federal programs shall be subject to federal refund policies, rules and regulation. Student complaints should be directed to our office at (800) 930-6182. Upon exhausting all avenues with NBI, Inc. for resolution, students may file a complaint with the Office of Career School Licensing at (603) 271-6443.

When will the OnDemand be available and how long will I have access to the content?
The OnDemand Video will be available to stream within 14 days of live broadcast date. You will have access to the content for 6 months in your account. If you’re a subscriber, you’ll have access to your course recordings until 7 days after the expiration date of the subscription.
What is included with my course purchase?
When you enroll prior to the live event date you will receive access to the live-streaming webinar which will allow you to interact with faculty in real-time. With each course, you will receive access to the content via OnDemand Streaming and the Video Download. Course reference materials are included with each course purchase in a downloadable PDF format.
Will I receive a confirmation of my order?
Yes, you will receive a detailed confirmation via email.
Can I record a course?
No. We ask that you do not record the program. A recording will be made available for sale.
What happens if my course is cancelled?
In the unlikely event that NBI cancels or reschedules an upcoming program, each registered attendee will be contacted via email by a representative of NBI. Outreach to attendees begins as soon as NBI is made aware that a program will not move forward at its originally scheduled date and time.
When will the recording be available to access after a Live Course Date?
It will not be available until after the live event has been held. Please call our Customer Service Department at 800-930-6182 with any questions.
I just finished a course but my account says it is not complete.
After the completion of your program, if your course isn’t listed under the ‘Completed’ tab in the ‘My Courses’ section of your My Account, please contact our Customer Service Department at 877-624-7707.
Am I able to search the Course Book Download product?
Yes. Select 'Search' from your 'Edit' menu options.
Can I modify and save change to my copy of a Course Book Download file?
No, the file is protected as a read-only file.
Can I print my Course Book Download?
Yes.
What is a Course Book Download?
The Course Book Download product is an electronic version of the course book in a PDF file format that can be purchased for immediate access from your online account.

Billing and Payment

What are my payment options?
We accept all major credit cards. If you'd like to pay by purchase order, please call customer service at (800) 930-6182.
Will I be charged sales tax on my purchase?
You will be charged sales tax if your address is in a state or county where we are required to apply a tax for your purchase. If a tax-exempt organization is paying for your order please call us at for assistance with your order at 800-930-6182. Please have a copy of your exemption certificate available.
Where is my order receipt?
We'll email it to you and store it in your My Account, in the order history section.
What is your Satisfaction Guarantee?
If you aren't satisfied with a course call us at 800-930-6182 or write us at customerservice@nbi-sems.com, within 60 days of course completion, and we'll make it right.
What is your Cancellation policy?
Courses purchased prior to the live event start time receive access to both live event and the online recording. We understand that your learning needs may change so if you wish to cancel your order, please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-930-6182 to review what option will work best for you. We will be happy to assist in find a replacement that better fits your learning needs. If you have not accessed the course content or received continuing education credit you may receive a full refund, less a $20 processing fee. If you are a current subscriber to one of our unlimited subscriptions, please refer to our subscription FAQs for questions regarding cancellation.
Is hardship tuition available?

Attendees from select states who are unable to afford continuing legal education course registration fees due to financial hardship may apply for financial hardship assistance. An application for financial hardship assistance must be filed at least 30 days prior to the attendee registering for the program.

To apply, please submit a request via email to our Tuition Discount Committee at customerservice@nbi-sems.com. Please include customer name, program title, and an explanation of the circumstance warranting financial hardship assistance in your request.

Can I order NBI products for someone else?
Yes, you'll be asked to provide the recipient's email address during checkout and create an online account for the attendee if needed.
What is your cancellation policy for course purchases?
If you have not accessed a course you purchased, we'll provide a full refund, less a $20 processing fee. Call us at (800) 930-6182 from 7:00 am - 5:30 pm CT.
What if I'm unhappy or dissatisfied with my purchase?
If you aren't satisfied with a course, call us within 60 days of course completion and we'll make it right. You can reach us at (800) 930-6182 from 7:00 am - 5:30 pm CT.

What are my State MCLE requirements?
Click here to view your State MCLE Requirements. You can select the state you are reporting credits in to view courses that offer your state credit by format.

How do I know if a course qualifies for Continuing Legal Education credit in my state?
Select your state under the Credit Details tab of the course details page to review approved credits by format. You can also contact our Customer Service Department at 866-240-1890 and one of our live representatives would be happy to assist you!
May I receive partial credit if I did not complete the entire course?
Depending on your state CLE requirements, credit may be awarded on a prorated basis for participation time. Contact our credit specialists at (866) 240-1890 for assistance.
How will my Continuing Education credit be reported?
Depending upon your accrediting agency requirements, NBI will submit your credits or will provide you with the information you need to report your own credit. You can view all state requirements by clicking on the following link State MCLE Requirements.
May I receive Continuing Education credit in more than one state or for more than one license type?
Yes. when you request course credit, you can request credit for any state on the approved list. If you don't see your state or credit type, contact our credit specialists at (866) 240-1890 for assistance.

My Account

How do I update my personal information in My Account?
Click User Icon at the top of the page to log into your account. Once in your account, click "My Info" and update your profile accordingly. Make sure to save all changes.
How do I access my Courses?
Click the "My Courses" tab in your My Account to access your courses. If you require additional assistance please call NBI Customer Service at 877-624-7707.

How do I access my Subscription once I sign up?
You can start using your subscription and watching courses immediately upon purchase. Our website was designed to make using your Unlimited CLE Subscription as easy as possible.
What is the NBI Forms Library and how do I access it?
NBI All Inclusive Subscribers receive access to the NBI Forms Library, including 10,000+ state-specific legal forms. You'll be able to access your forms through your My Account.
What is Fastcase and how do I access it?
NBI All Inclusive Subscribers receive access to the Fastcase Premium Plan with their subscription. Fastcase is an online, comprehensive 50-state and federal case law database, providing access to law, court cases, statutes and regulations. Access is granted through a link in your My Account.
Are IPE (Institute for Paralegal Education) courses included as part of NBI Subscriptions?
The Institute for Paralegal Education is a division of NBI. Please call 800-793-5274 and ask about special savings for adding an IPE Unlimited Subscription to your current NBI Subscription account!
How do I opt out of my subscription auto renewal?
Subscriptions are for an initial 12-month term. Depending on the subscription you selected, they will automatically renew monthly or annually after the initial term is up. You may opt out of the automatic renewal any time from your My Account page. Please reach out to your Personal Account Representative at 800-930-6182 if you require additional assistance.
Do you have firm/organization subscription packages available?

Will I be able to complete all of my mandatory CLE requirements with a subscription?
