Alexandra M Curlin is an attorney with Curlin & Clay Law, An Association of Attorneys in Indianapolis. A distinguished educator and accomplished attorney, she uses her extensive experience throughout the state of Indiana to provide clients with a multi-faceted approach to the issues they present. In an effort to help promote students' rights to quality education while, in turn, effectively addressing education issues in the state of Indiana, Ms. Curlin serves a wide range of populations that includes, but is not limited to, parents, schools and agencies serving students. Prior to her transition to private practice, she was a teacher in the metropolitan Indianapolis area where she taught kindergarten through fourth grade. Ms. Curlin also served as a reading specialist. Additionally, she serves as an expulsion hearing officer for current clients and previously served as the Assistant Director of Due Process for the Special Education Department of the Indiana Department of Education. Ms. Curlin earned her B.S. degree from Indiana University, with minors in reading and early childhood education; and her J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis where she was a member of the Order of Barristers. Additionally, she is a member of the Indiana State and Indianapolis Bar Associations. Ms. Curlin is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern districts of Indiana.
