Bill E Kyriagis represents real estate, business and government clients in litigation and land use matters in state and federal courts. While he has experience with a broad spectrum of commercial litigation, he has built an extensive reputation as a leading land use, real estate, and development dispute litigator. Regardless of the underlying case, Mr. Kyriagis's clients trust him to find efficient, practical solutions for their matters. His practice is centered on complex real estate and development disputes, representing property owners, developers, lenders, and governmental entities. Mr. Kyriagis's experience includes litigating purchase and sale disputes; boundary, easement and encroachment issues; adverse possession and prescriptive easement claims; landlord/tenant disputes; and cases relating to Colorado's Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA). He also represents landowners and governments in condemnation/eminent domain matters, and he understands complex valuation issues, particularly as they relate to unique properties. Throughout his career, Mr. Kyriagis has developed significant experience on land use issues, both in and out of court. He counsels clients through contested approvals before municipal and county bodies and represents clients in litigation involving local land use approvals, including Rule 106(a)(4) claims. Mr. Kyriagis's land use experience also includes historic preservation issues, constitutional litigation, and fee and exaction disputes. He is a regular speaker on land use issues at legal and industry conferences. Mr. Kyriagis is also one of the leading Colorado litigators on special district and public finance issues. He represents special districts, property owners, developers and lenders on a variety of disputes, including matters involving complex intergovernmental agreements, enforcement of financial commitments, reimbursement issues, and special district inclusions and exclusions of property (boundary adjustments).
