John T Cigno is an attorney at Wiggin and Dana LLP in their labor, employment and benefits department. He represents employers of all sizes, across a wide variety of industries, in all types of employment law matters. Specifically, Mr. Cigno defends companies in litigation matters alleging violations of Title VII, ADA, FLSA, analogous state and local laws, and wage and hour laws. He also provides preventative advice and counsel to employers regarding all types of workplace laws and issues. Mr. Cigno earned his B.A. degree from Lafayette College and his J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was a notes and comments editor of Volume 49 of the Connecticut Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in New York and before the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
