Zachary J Flood is a shareholder at Crivello, Nichols & Hall, S.C., where he advises clients on various employment-related legal issues and regularly defends governmental entities in civil rights litigation. His legal practice is primarily dedicated to counseling both public and private sector employers on a diverse range of issues involving employment discrimination, reasonable accommodations, wage and hour issues, workplace harassment prevention and investigations, employee leave administration and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compliance, workplace safety, employee onboarding, discipline, and termination, and employee handbook and policy development. In addition, Mr. Flood assists employers in drafting and enforcing employment contracts, including confidentiality, non-compete, and severance agreements. As an experienced litigator, he frequently represents employers confronted with employee lawsuits in state, federal, and administrative forums. Mr. Flood has also presented at numerous seminars and symposiums concerning developments in employment law, strategies for employers in a variety of workplace contexts, and other compliance-related issues. In addition to his work in employment law, he also defends state, county, and local governmental entities and officials in state and federal legal actions involving alleged civil rights infringements and complex constitutional issues. Mr. Flood has successfully defended numerous counties, municipalities, public officials, employers, businesses, and insurers in matters involving allegations of infringement of civil rights. He graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School, where he served as an associate editor on the Marquette Law Review and as the student director of Marquette’s Labor and Employment Law Program. Mr. Flood was also a three-time recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his strong academic performance. Prior to returning to Crivello, Nichols & Hall, S.C., he practiced labor and employment law at a large Milwaukee-based law firm.
