She is currently managing director of Juridical Solutions PLC, where she mediates family law disputes which are most suited to alternative dispute resolution. Judge Irby is experienced in all areas of civil litigation, including complex business disputes, divorce (equitable distribution, spousal support and custody), and personal injury claims. Before going on the bench, she practiced law with her primary focus on domestic relations. Judge Irby earned her B.S. degree from Central Michigan University and her J.D. degree from Thomas W. Cooley Law School.

Amy C. Weisberg

Speaker bio
Tashina M. Gorgone
is a partner with Maddox & Gerock, P.C. in Falls Church, Virginia. She focuses her practice in the areas of family law and appellate litigation. Ms. Gorgone handles all areas of family law, from custody to child support to property distribution. She has particular experience and interest in complex custody cases. Ms. Gorgone has handled cases involving allegations of domestic violence, substance abuse, and sexual abuse. She has successfully litigated relocation cases, as well as assisted both mothers and fathers in obtaining shared or primary custody of their children. To Ms. Gorgone, the most rewarding aspect of practicing law is the challenge of problem-solving; and she strives to help families develop and effectuate a plan that will not only address their immediate needs, but provide them with peace of mind for the future. She is adept at determining what cases are ripe for alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation or settlement conferences; however, when a case must be tried in court, she is able to effectively and comprehensively prepare and deliver strong oral advocacy on behalf of her client and their family. Ms. Gorgone earned her B.A. degree from The University of Mary Washington and her J.D. degree from George Mason University School of Law, with a concentration in litigation. While attending George Mason, she was an active member of the Moot Court Team, where she won first place in the Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition. Ms. Gorgone also served as a notes editor on the George Mason Law Review, and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Association. She is licensed to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Ms. Gorgone is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Fairfax County Bar Association, and serves on the Board for the Northern Virginia Women's Attorney Association. She also volunteers as a judge for local law school mock trial events, hosts courtroom tours for Fairfax County middle school students, and speaks at local middle schools about the legal profession. In 2017, Ms. Gorgone was named by Super Lawyers as a Virginia Rising Star in the practice area of family law, and she has remained a Rising Star each year since.
