Speaker bio
Patrick Kelly
is an attorney with Gray Reed. He is a commercial litigator with experience representing clients through every stage of the dispute resolution process. While serving as first and second chair, Mr. Kelly has successfully advocated for his clients in state, federal and bankruptcy courts across Texas. With clients in the construction, oil and gas, banking, private equity and manufacturing industries, he has experience with a broad range of legal issues, including breach of contract, fraud, partnership disputes, business divorces, payment disputes, construction defects, liens, payment bond claims, adversary proceedings, the bankruptcy claims process, Chapter 11 bankruptcy issues, UCC claims, and sovereign immunity. Mr. Kelly earned his B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Arlington and his J.D. degree from Baylor University School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association (Commercial Law, Construction Law, and Bankruptcy sections) and Houston Young Lawyers Association. Mr. Kelly is admitted to practice in Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western districts of Texas.
