Speaker bio
Aaron D. Paker
came to his law career later in life. After a 13-year career in early childhood, including a Special Education Preschool dedicated to children with severe emotional and behavioral diagnoses, he needed a change. He trained as a paralegal and eventually became a Medicaid specialist at Life Point Law; however, upon becoming the firm's expert, he soon learned that he did not make a good paralegal who was expected by some of the, now former, attorneys to do as he was told and not as he knew was best for the clients. Three and a half years later, after not seeing his family or sleeping, he graduated from the Seattle University School of Law Part-Time Program; took the last Bar Exam before the Covid-19 waiver; and was sworn in by one of his professors in that professor's back yard. When not in the office his favorite pastime, other than hanging out with his wife and daughters, is cooking and he one day aspires to retiring from law so that he can open a "pay-as-you-can" nonprofit restaurant. Ask him nicely and he may send you a sample of his homemade rub or BBQ sauce.

Reuben Clerk Law School at Brigham Young University. He is admitted to practice law in Washington.
