Mr. Sowecke earned his B.A. degree (environmental studies, philosophy of science) from The Evergreen State College, his J.D. degree (energy, environment and natural resources law) from the University of Wyoming College of Law, and his Master of Environment and Natural Resources (MENR) from the University of Wyoming, Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources. He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma.

His experience includes handling complex environmental issues across multiple industries, and advising clients on regulatory compliance, permitting, litigation, and transactional matters. Mr. Self's experience includes, but is not limited to the Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and other state rules and regulations. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma; and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Order of the Solicitors, Dean's Honor Roll, ONE-J Journal (submissions editor). Mr. Self is a member of the Houston Bar Association; HBA Environmental Section, Executive Board; Houston Volunteer Lawyers Legal Line; and Tulsa Public Defender's Office Project Communication. He is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma and Texas.

How do I access my courses?

Do you have options for attendees who are deaf or hard of hearing?

What happens if my course is cancelled?
In the unlikely event that NBI cancels or reschedules an upcoming program, each registered attendee will be contacted via email by a representative of NBI. Outreach to attendees begins as soon as NBI is made aware that a program will not move forward at its originally scheduled date and time.
Are multiple attendee discounts available?
Yes, the more people you bring from your organization, the more you save. After the first registration, each additional attendee receives a special discount off of their total tuition.
When will the OnDemand be available and how long will I have access to the content?
The OnDemand Video will be available to stream within 7 days of live broadcast date. You will have access to the content for 6 months in your account. If you’re a subscriber, you’ll have access to your course recordings until 7 days after the expiration date of the subscription.
