Speaker bio
Dr. Diana Kraemer, M.D.
provides independent record review, examinations, opinions and testimony for both plaintiff and defense claims for neurosurgical cases. This includes evaluation of conditions of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves; including conditions related to trauma, injury or repetitive use. Dr. Kraemer is an actively practicing neurosurgeon. She is board-certified through the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and is also certified in the evaluation of impairment and disability ratings through the International Association of Independent Medical Examiners. With ten years of experience working with both plaintiff and defense attorneys, Dr. Kraemer is comfortable working in medical-legal work. She is knowledgeable in the current medical literature of injury and causation, and applies evidence-based medicine to her opinions whenever possible.

Dr. Sanjay Ghosh M.D.
is a board-certified neurosurgeon and the Director of Neurosurgery at the SENTA Clinic in San Diego. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan Honors College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude, and received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1995. Dr. Ghosh completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Southern California, followed by a fellowship in skull base surgery at the House Ear Clinic and St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Los Angeles. With over two decades of experience, he specializes in spinal surgery, cranial and spinal trauma, radiosurgery, and cranial base surgery, and has been recognized as one of America's top neurosurgeons by Castle Connolly, the U.S. News & World Report, and the San Diego County Medical Society. Dr. Ghosh is the director of neurosurgery at the Senta Clinic, and serves as the neurosurgical consultant for the University of San Diego Athletic Department.

Mark S. Kardos
is the principal in the Law Offices of Kardos & Goch, where he has litigated personal injury cases in Philadelphia for more than 42 years, with several verdicts published in the Pennsylvania Jury Reporter and The Verdict, a publication of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court. Mr. Kardos earned his B.S. degree from Millersville University and his J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore Law School.

Lauren E. Coates
is an attorney at Pfau Cochran Vertetis Amala PLLC. She focuses her practice on sexual abuse, personal injury and wrongful death. A graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law, Ms. Coates served as a teaching assistant in the legal research and writing program and as president of the Board of Student Advocates, coordinating regional mock trial competitions. She earned her B.A. degree from Boston University. Ms. Coates is admitted to practice law in Washington. Before becoming a lawyer, she enjoyed a whole other career as an award-winning journalist, covering crime and breaking news for the Seattle Times and the Los Angeles Times. Ms. Coates serves as the incoming co-chair of the medical negligence committee for the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ).
