Steven M. Davis
is a shareholder with Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. He practices primarily in the area of business-related litigation including condominium and homeowner association litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosures, collections, partnership disputes, as well as intellectual property law. Mr. Davis has chaired numerous cases before judges, juries, and appellate panels. He has also gained considerable expertise in timeshare litigation. Prior to law school, Mr. Davis spent several years at IBM Corporation as a computer programmer and is often called upon for his technical expertise in technology-related matters. Combining his technical expertise with his legal skills has proved to be invaluable when serving as an expert witness on attorney's fees. he has qualified and testified in state court and federal court as an attorney's fee expert. Mr. Davis is a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator. He mediates all litigation matters including homeowner disputes, intellectual property,ommercial disputes, and personal injury matters. Mr. Davis is also an adjunct professor at Florida International University. He has been recognized in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®, one of the oldest and most revered peer review publications, in commercial litigation.

Susan N. Eccles
serves as the Baton Rouge office partner in charge at Adams and Reese LLP, while maintaining a diverse legal practice centered on construction, state and federal procurement/government contracts, commercial litigation, and professional liability. Since assuming her leadership role in 2022, Ms. Eccles has helped double the size of the national law firm's Baton Rouge office, developing incoming talent, mentoring younger attorneys, and instilling a commitment to the community. Within her legal practice, she is a leading member of the Adams and Reese construction team. Ms. Eccles stays abreast of the latest trends in the construction industry, including Louisiana code changes, proactive tips to prevent construction defects, latest requirements on OSHA workplace inspections, and risk allocation strategies for design professionals, among other pressing topics. She is a published author and guest speaker on construction law. Ms. Eccles has a post-baccalaureate degree in construction management from LSU. She earned her B.A. and J.D. degrees from Loyola University New Orleans.

Claire Sauls
is an attorney at Adams and Reese LLP. She primarily practices in construction defect matters, premise liability claims, breach of contract issues, and commercial insurance defense. Ms. Sauls is a member of the Adams and Reese Construction Team, one of the largest construction practices in the nation with more than 90 attorneys licensed in more than 30 states and serving the legal needs of the construction industry across the firm's footprint. She earned her B.S degree from Louisiana State University and her J.D degree, cum laude, from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

Christopher D. Joseph, Jr.
is a litigator whose practice addresses multiple issues including, but not limited to, commercial construction defects, suretyship, employment disputes, toxic tort, property casualty, and commercial litigation. Due to his diverse array of experiences, he has developed a versatile and dynamic approach when addressing the concerns of his clients. From drafting initial pleadings, managing discovery, and taking depositions, Mr. Joseph handles all aspects of litigation prior to trial. He is also an effective deal maker and has resolved several matters through mediation. Mr. Joseph is recognized by clients and peers among Louisiana Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” in construction litigation. He is among a prestigious group of up-and-coming attorneys across the nation participating in MCCA’s 2025 C-Suite Leadership Level 1 Program Cohort. Mr. Joseph is also part of the ABA TIPS Fidelity and Surety Subcommittee’s Emerging Leaders and Leadership Academy programs, and was a Pathfinder in the LCLD Class of 2024.

Mitchell J. Rhein
is a member of the Charleston, West Virginia office of Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC. His primary area of practice is labor and employment law. Mr. Rhein represents employers and their executives in employment-related claims, including discrimination and harassment; wrongful discharge; breach of contract; breach of noncompete contracts and non-solicitation contracts and disclosure of trade secrets. He also represents employers on traditional labor matters, including unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board; union organizing campaigns and elections; and collective bargaining, as well as Advising employers regarding internal and external investigations on wage and hour issues and allegations of harassment and discrimination. Mr. Rhein earned his B.A. degree from Michigan State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Mr. Rhein is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, West Virginia State Bar, Energy and Mineral Law Foundation, American Bar Association and Defense Research Institute.
