Rebecca Van Loon
is a partner with Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith LLP. She focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, trust and probate administration and taxation law. Ms. Van Loon assists families and individuals with all aspects of their estate planning needs, including wills, trusts, advance health care directives and financial powers of attorney. She also assists clients with estate, gift and property tax planning, including charitable gift planning. Ms. Van Loon is certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust & probate by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Gonzaga University, her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law and her LL.M. degree (taxation), magna cum laude, from University of San Diego School of Law.

Jeffrey R. Loew
is the managing partner with Trust Law Partners, LLP. His practice includes representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in fiduciary disputes and regarding accountings; trust and probate petitions and administration; and conservatorship matters. Mr. Loew brings to his practice more than a decade of experience in these areas. As an estate planner and trust administration advisor, Mr. Loew employs a wide range of estate planning techniques to help clients meet their estate planning needs and wealth transfer objectives, from straightforward wills to complex trust agreements. Mr. Loew's skills and training make him an excellent mediator in trust and estate disputes, and he has also served as an expert witness in those areas, including providing expert reports and appearing for deposition, trial, and in mediation. He is certified as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization, a title held by less than half of one percent of practicing attorneys in California, and by only about three percent of estate planning attorneys. Mr. Loew is also a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estates Counsel, ACTEC. Mr. Loew earned his B.A. degree from the University of St. Thomas - St. Paul, Minnesota; his M.A. degree from The Ohio State University; and his J.D. degree from the University of California - Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. Mr. Loew is licensed to practice in California, Texas and Nevada.

Patricia L. Andel
is a sole practitioner in Carlsbad, California. She has 37 years of experience as an attorney and is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law with The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Andel is currently a grader for the State Bar of California for the Certified Specialist exam in estate planning, trust & probate law. She received her B.S. degree in nursing, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and her J.D degree, graduating summa cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law. Ms. Andel was formerly a full-time professor of law at Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California, and an adjunct professor of law at Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California. She also taught bar review courses for Fleming's Fundamentals of Law for more than 19 years. Ms. Andel has published several articles, has authored numerous course teaching materials, and has engaged in numerous teaching and public speaking events. She has served as judge pro tem in both Orange and San Diego counties. Ms. Andel also has served as a legal advisor for various local health care organizations.
