Speaker bio
Paul Koepff
is a distinguished insurance coverage attorney with decades of experience handling high-stakes litigation, trials, and arbitrations across the United States and internationally. Now practicing with Clyde & Co, he has served as lead counsel in numerous complex insurance coverage disputes and appellate matters over his 45-year career. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Mr. Koepff was a senior partner at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, where he chaired the firm's award-winning Insurance Department. He has successfully litigated and arbitrated coverage issues in U.S., London, and Bermuda forums, often involving significant financial exposure and high-profile matters. His appellate victories span multiple jurisdictions, including the New Jersey Supreme Court, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and various New York appellate courts. Mr. Koepff is AV® Preeminent™ rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was honored with the 2020 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. He is recognized by Chambers USA for his superior industry knowledge and litigation skill, and by Legal 500 USA as one of the nation's leading insurance lawyers. In addition to his practice, Mr. Koepff is active in several professional organizations, including ARIAS US, the American College of Coverage Counsel, and the ABA's Tort and Insurance Practice Section. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and multiple federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Koepff earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Duke University in 1973, and both his M.B.A. and B.A. degrees, cum laude, from Lehigh University.
