is a member of Burr & Forman LLP's general commercial litigation practice group. His litigation experience includes a wide range of high stakes civil and criminal matters. During the course of his career, Mr. Bouchette has tried cases before judges and juries involving subjects as diverse as breach of contract and unfair trade practices to criminal domestic violence and murder. Some of his cases have been the subject of statewide, national, and even international media attention. Mr. Bouchettes'  clients have included corporations, successful businesspeople, governmental entities, as well as indigent defendants in both state and federal court. Today, his practice is focused primarily on commercial and business litigation, litigation in the probate court involving trusts, estates, and fiduciaries, and complex criminal defense in state and federal court. Mr. Bouchette frequently represents businesses in the construction, hospitality, and real estate industries in matters involving employment, contractual, and partnership/shareholder disputes. He also represents individuals in litigation involving real property, estates and probate issues, and the defense of serious criminal charges. He is active in the legal community. Mr. Bouchette has published articles on civil procedure and substantive criminal law and is a frequent writer for South Carolina Lawyer. He previously served as a board member for the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers representing the 15th Judicial Circuit and is a founding member of that organization's educational foundation. Mr. Bouchette is a 2023 graduate of the National Criminal Defense College, a multi-week intensive program designed to enhance participating attorneys' trial skills. In 2024, he was recognized as a Legal Elite among South Carolina attorneys in the category of white collar criminal defense.

Mr. Dorobantu attended the University of Tennessee - Knoxville where he obtained his B.A. degree in political science with an English minor. He then went on to the University of South Carolina School of Law where he earned his J.D. degree. Since graduating law school Mr. Dorobantu has worked primarily in the field of estate planning, asset protection and wealth transfer. He spent three years working at a boutique estate planning firm in downtown Charleston before opening Lowcountry Legacy Law Firm in 2015. Mr. Dorobantu serves on the Board of Trustees for the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation, has served as the assistant head coach and the Head Boy's Lacrosse Coach at Beaufort High School from 2016 - 2021, and is a graduate of the 2016-17 class of Leadership Beaufort. Mr. Dorobantu is also an Elite member of Certified Guaranty Company and has been a comic book collector for over 25 years. His path to private practice was distinguished by his prior service as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the United States Marine Corps. Achieving the rank of Captain before leaving active duty in 2013, Mr. De Bruin's military background instilled a strong sense of leadership, recognized by a Leadership Award at Naval Justice School. In 2013, Mr. De Bruin entered private practice in Greenville, focusing primarily on estate planning (including wills, trusts, financial powers of attorney, and healthcare powers of attorney) and probate matters. His experience as a JAG included serving as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, during which he successfully tried over 15 criminal cases. This included two murder cases and securing a not guilty verdict in a complex Kidnapping/Burglary case where the client faced mandatory life imprisonment. In 2014, Mr. De Bruin merged his practice with his father, Gary De Bruin, combining decades of legal experience. Mr. De Bruin earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh with a major in finance and a minor in economics.
