Over the years, Ms. Sweeting has represented both defendants and plaintiffs. Ms. Sweeting served on the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee of the Florida Bar for six years. During that time, she conducted Diversity Training for Florida's Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) Commissioners who nominate candidates for judicial appointment. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, now known as the Florida Justice Association; and she acted as Chair of the Women's Caucus. Ms. Sweeting received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She then attended the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, FL, where she earned her Juris Doctor.
