Speaker bio
Brenda L. Wahler
is a solo practice family law attorney in Helena. Prior to entering private practice, she was an attorney for the State of Montana. Ms. Wahler earned her J.D. degree from the University of Montana in 2002, following a career as a high school social studies teacher. A lifelong Montanan, she is also a historian and writer who enjoys digging into the deeper stories behind the myths of the American West. Ms. Wahler is past chair of the Law-Related Education Committee of the State Bar of Montana, past president of the First Judicial District Bar Association, and active in promoting civic education.

Nathan Hacker
is a registered domestic relations mediator, trained family law arbitrator and certified divorce financial analyst(tm), practicing in Indianapolis with Torchlight Resolutions. He practices law through the Law Office of Nathan Hacker. Formerly a family law trial attorney with Eskew Law, Mr. Hacker has devoted his career to helping families recognize the use of assets to resolve difficult financial divisions. His client's have included medical professionals, retired professional athletes, entrepreneurs, CEOs, small family business owners, attorneys and the spouses of these individuals. Mr. Hacker has also presented on various financial topics, including pension valuations, high asset child support, use of tax rates to affect division of assets, real estate sales during divorce, brokerage accounts, SECURE 2.0, and a myriad of related topics. He earned his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis and his undergraduate degree from Purdue University - West Lafayette Campus.

Amy Amundsen
of Amundsen Legal Consulting, advises lawyers on case strategies and office management and provides alternative dispute resolution services as a trained Collaborative Family Lawyer, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), certified Family Law Arbitrator and TN Supreme Court Rule 31 Family Law Mediator. She is a fellow in the International Academy of Family Lawyers and AAML, and co-chair of the AAML Arbitration Committee. Ms. Amundsen serves on the executive committee of the Tennessee Bar Association Family Law Section, is secretary of the Memphis Collaborative Divorce Alliance, and member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She lectures on trending legal concepts for state and national organizations, publishes in peer-reviewed journals, and assists in teaching lawyers new techniques and skills.
