Speakers
Speaker bio
Michael Orozco
is of counsel at Price, Meese, Shulman & D'Arminio, P.C. He focuses most of his practice in complex commercial litigation, criminal defense, franchise law and personal injury claims at both the federal and state level. Mr. Orozco is an experienced trial attorney and has been lead counsel in over 50 trials, most of them jury trials, in both federal and state court, in both criminal and civil proceedings. He is also an experienced transactional attorney, having represented a multitude of businesses in the purchase or sale of assets. Mr. Orozco has represented multi-national corporations in complex civil matters, individuals charged under federal and state criminal statutes, and the victims of catastrophic accidents suffering from permanent and debilitating injuries. He has also argued before the New Jersey Appellate Division, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and New Jersey Supreme Court. In 2019, Mr. Orozco prevailed in his argument before the New Jersey Supreme Court in State v. Fede, resulting in the Court vacating his client's conviction despite it having been affirmed in three prior appeals. Prior to joining Price, Meese, Shulman & D'Arminio, P.C., he was a partner in a small practice in Newark, concentrating in personal injury, business formation and representation and criminal defense. Mr. Orozco earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers College and his J.D. degree from The George Washington University Law School.
