Speaker bio
Tracy Ahr
is a shareholder in the Albuquerque law firm of Ahr Law Offices PC. She is a frequent speaker on the unique taxation issues faced by companies and enterprises involved in the sale and distribution of cannabis and cannabis-related products and services. Ms. Ahr holds a Juris Doctor, master's in business administration, and bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico, as well as a Master of Law in Taxation from the University of Florida. In addition to advising cannabis businesses, her practice focuses on tax, tax controversy, tax planning, and business dispositions and acquisitions. Since 2006, Ms. Ahr has been listed in Best Lawyers In America for the practice areas of tax law, tax litigation and employee benefits law, and has an AV rating from Martindale Hubble. She is admitted to practice law in New Mexico.

Yolanda R. Gallegos
established her law firm, Gallegos Legal Group, after a decade of legal practice in Washington, D.C. She has represented businesses throughout the country for over 30 years. Ms. Gallegos' expertise is on guiding corporations and entrepreneurs through complex state and federal regulatory and licensure compliance issues including those related to cannabis enterprises. She has served as an expert witness in federal and state courts on federal regulatory matters and is a frequent speaker and writer on a variety of legal topics affecting regulated businesses. Ms. Gallegos earned her J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law and her LL.M. degree in advocacy from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the District of Columbia, New Mexico, Illinois and Navajo bars.

Rachel L. Bussett
is a trial attorney and recently joined the firm of DiCello Levitt LLP as senior counsel in Mentor, Ohio. Previously, she was the CEO and lead trial attorney at Bussett Legal Group, a full-service boutique law firm in Oklahoma City, which was also one of the largest all female law firms in Oklahoma. Ms. Bussett's practice focuses on civil litigation matters arising out injury, abuse, neglect, trauma, and violence to children and their families. Currently she is leading litigation across the country for DiCello Levitt seeking justice for children who were sexually assaulted in the juvenile justice system. Ms. Bussett is licensed to practice in the state courts of Oklahoma and Missouri, Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, Chickasaw Nation and Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribal courts, and numerous federal courts. She earned her B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Ms. Bussett is married and the mother of four daughters.

Aly Piscatelli
is owner of Budding Operations, and has been working in the regulated cannabis industry for 13 years. The focus of her cannabis career has been regulatory inventory compliance and its application in the workplace. At her first industry job at a medical marijuana dispensary in downtown Denver, Ms. Piscatelli was the first employee to navigate the newly released regulations and implement them at both the dispensary and commonly owned cultivation facility. This experience is what launched her into compliance across the supply chain, including cultivation, manufacturing and sales. Ms. Piscatelli is a member of both the METRC and regulatory framework working groups in Colorado, working directly with other leaders in the industry. She has spoken at multiple national conferences about the implementation of inventory control compliance into the workflow of licensed facilities. Ms. Piscatelli holds partnership agreements with accounting firms and consultants to work in tandem with clients to maintain accurate data. She earned her bachelor's degree from University of Colorado-Boulder and her CPIM (certified in planning and inventory management) through APICS.

Savannah J. Hoover
, Esq., MBA, is an attorney and business advisor in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has worked with entrepreneurs, cannabis professionals, tech startups, sports teams, and creatives to protect their businesses through effective business formation, intellectual property development, collaborative contracting, strategic expansion, and thoughtful partnerships. Ms. Hoover graduated from the University of New Mexico with her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees and holds an interdisciplinary studies degree in outdoor adventure leadership and journalism. She is a member of the American Bar Association; Cannabis Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico; Business Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico; and Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of New Mexico. During graduate school, Ms. Hoover explored the intersection of technology, business, law, and the creative economy and how to reduce barriers to those spaces for women and BIPOC communities.
