Speaker bio
Joanie Winters
is an attorney with Winters Law Firm. She has over 30 years of management, human resources and legal experience. In 2003, Ms. Winters opened her law firm with a focus on labor and employment law. In addition to providing legal guidance to public and private employers, she serves as the county attorney Chester County. Ms. Winters worked as a human resources manager and consultant for more than ten years. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge as an adjunct professor at Winthrop University. Ms. Winters earned her bachelor's degree from Rosemont College and her J.D. degree from University of South Carolina.

Cari L. Sheehan
is an assistant general counsel with Taft Stettinius & Hollister, LLP with over 15 years of legal experience in civil litigation, conflicts of interest, and professional responsibility. In this role, she advises firm attorneys with respect to ethics compliance, risk prevention, and conflicts of interest. In addition, Ms. Sheehan assists in the review and negotiation of outside counsel guidelines, conflict waivers and engagement letters, and other items with ethical implications. She assists in providing ethical training and education within the firm to its attorneys and staff. Ms. Sheehan is an adjunct professor at the IU Robert H. McKinney School where she teaches professional responsibility. She is also a former assistant clinical professor of business law and ethics at the Kelley School of Business. Ms. Sheehan is passionate about promoting ethical awareness, integrity, and professionalism in the legal and business fields, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in these domains. She is a frequent presenter and author on ethics and professionalism in the legal industry. Ms. Sheehan is a recurring author with the Res Gestae, the Indiana State Bar Association's Member Journal, regarding the ethics curbstone; and has been quoted in publications for her knowledge on ethical topics. She is also an avid speaker, having given over 200 seminars on ethics and professionalism for various local and national platforms. Ms. Sheehan's primary area of research is regarding the ethics of AI and how it affects the legal and business community.

Thomas J. Mew, IV
is a partner with Buckley Bala Wilson Mew LLP, where he practices a broad range of employment law matters, including both individual and class action wage and hour, discrimination and harassment litigation, as well as in arbitration and mediation. He also is an advisor on employment contracts, releases, and restrictive covenant issues. Mr. Mew is the co-author of Georgia Motion Practice, a guide to civil motion practice in Georgia's trial and appellate courts, and the co-author of Georgia Employment Law. He has litigated in state and federal courts at both trial and appellate levels, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Mew earned his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Alex Berg
is a shareholder with Littler Mendelson P.C. He focuses his management-side practice on issues arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights of 1964, the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and ADEA, as well as state and local EEO and wage and hour statutes. Mr. Berg is admitted to practice law in Maryland, District of Columbia, U.S. District Court of Maryland, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He earned his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Kimberly D. Jeselskis
is a member with Jeselskis Brinkerhoff and Joseph, LLC, where she represents both individuals and employers in a wide range of employment law and benefits matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, Family and Medical Leave Act, wage and overtime violations, wrongful termination, short-term disability benefits, and long-term disability benefits. As a registered civil mediator, Ms. Jeselskis also mediates employment related disputes. She earned her B.S. degree, cum laude, from Ball State University, her M.A. degree from Ball State University and her J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Ms. Jeselskis is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Arizona, and before the District Courts for the Northern and Southern districts of Indiana, District Court for the District of Arizona, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court. She is currently a council member on the Employment, Benefits and Labor Law Council for the Indiana State Bar Association, committee member on the Employment and Labor Law Executive Committee for the Indianapolis Bar Association, member of the National Employment Law Association, board member for Indiana NELA and member of the American Bar Association.

Kelly L. McNaughton
is an associate with the Morristown, New Jersey office of Fox Rothschild LLP. A member of the firm's national Labor & Employment practice, she provides legal advice to companies of all sizes on workplace policy and litigation. Ms. McNaughton first joined Fox Rothschild as a summer associate while earning her law degree. She later completed a clerkship for the Honorable Jose Fuentes of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, including during his temporary assignment to the Supreme Court of New Jersey. During law school, Ms. McNaughton was a legal intern for a nonprofit organization and also served as managing editor of the Rutgers University Law Review, co-president of the Labor and Employment Law Society, and treasurer of the Women's Law Forum. She was a judicial intern for the Honorable Marcia Silva of the Middlesex County Superior Court while earning her undergraduate degree.
