Kathleen M. Erickson
is a partner with the law firm of O'Neill McFadden & Willett. She focuses her practice on a wide range of civil litigation defense and has extensive experience handling medical malpractice and healthcare defense matters. Ms. Erickson works with her clients through all phases of litigation, including investigation, motion practice, written and oral discovery, and trial. She represents hospitals and individual health care providers before medical review panels, in court and on appeal. Ms. Erickson earned her B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and her J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. She is a member of the Lake County Indiana Bar Association.

Robert W. Hallack
is the principal of Hallack Law Offices in Baton Rouge. He was an associate editor for the Southern University Law Review by virtue of his article, "Louisiana's Comparative Fault Doctrine and the Mitigation of Damages," which was cited by the Louisiana Supreme Court. He devotes his practice to personal injury and wrongful death cases, including vehicle accidents, medical negligence, nursing home negligence, professional malpractice, maritime accidents, premises accidents and injuries at work. Mr. Hallack has lectured extensively on medical malpractice, nursing home abuse/negligence, alternative dispute resolution, proving damages, evidence and workers' compensation issues. He is a member of the Baton Rouge and Louisiana State bar associations, as well as all federal courts in the state. Mr. Hallack is also a member of the Wex Malone Inns of Court. He earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Southern University Law Center.

Bradley D. Honnold
is a partner with the Leawood law firm of Goza & Honnold, LLC, where his focus is on medical negligence, pharmaceutical, and medical device litigation. Mr. Honnold has spoken at various CLE events on medical negligence issues. He is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, Kansas Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Honnold earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of Iowa and his J.D. degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Thomas J. Jarzyniecki, Jr.
is with Kightlinger & Gray, LLP, where he devotes much of his practice to, and therefore has extensive experience with, fire-related matters. He routinely handles large losses involving fires and explosions causing personal injuries, fatalities and property damage. Mr. Jarzyniecki uses his more than 30 years of experience to spearhead pre-suit investigations, including evidence preservation, expert retention and early claim evaluation. His trial experience finds him handling cases related to a wide range of products as well as defending fire suppression system installers and inspectors. In addition, he regularly works with insurance companies on a variety of first-party issues. Mr. Jarzyniecki Jr. also defends local utility companies in litigation related to personal injury, property damage and wrongful death. Since 2012, he has been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers list published in Indiana Super Lawyers magazine. Mr. Jarzyniecki is immediate past-chair of the Fire Science and Litigation Specialized Litigation Group (SLG) for the Defense Research Institute (DRI). He is also active in the Indiana Chapter of Claims Litigation Management (CLM) and is a member of several other legal and professional associations. Mr. Jarzyniecki frequently writes and speaks on topics related to his practice, in addition to publishing articles. He is also past president of the Glendale Soccer Association, a recreational youth soccer organization that serves more than 500 kids for spring and fall soccer programs on the Northeast side of Indianapolis.

Matthew J. Goldsmith
is an attorney at Kightlinger & Gray, LLP. Prior to joining the firm, he was a deputy attorney general in the Indiana office of the Attorney General's Government Litigation Section. In that role, Mr. Goldsmith gained extensive federal and state court experience in a variety of areas representing state agencies and state employees including 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claims, small claims, habeas and post-conviction relief petitions, and petitions for removal from the Sex and Violent Offender registry. He also clerked in the Appeals Section of the Attorney General's office in law school, where he worked on civil and criminal appeals in state and federal courts. Mr. Goldsmith earned his bachelor's degree from Ashland University and his J.D. degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Indiana.

How many Utah CLE credits can I carry over?
Effective July 1, 2026, Utah attorneys can carry over up to 6 hours of excess Verified CLE credits from their current compliance period to their immediate next compliance period. Ethics or professionalism credits may not be carried forward.
In addition, attorneys licensed in another MCLE state whose principal office for the practice of law is not in Utah, may fulfill that state's mandatory CLE requirement, as well as completing 1 hour each of Utah-approved ethics and professionalism credits, for their compliance in Utah.
