Speaker bio
Peter L. Ostermiller
is a sole practitioner concentrating in legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. In 1980 he obtained his license to practice law in Kentucky. His legal ethics and professional responsibility law practice began in the mid-1980s and, since the mid-1990s has been his practice concentration. He represents attorneys in disciplinary and reinstatement proceedings, judges in judicial ethics matters, and bar exam applicants. Mr. Ostermiller has also represented parties in attorney's fee dispute proceedings, and attorneys in legal proceedings in which sanctions have been sought against the attorney. He has represented parties in attorney disqualification proceedings and counseled lawyers and law firms in their respective rights, responsibilities and duties to other attorneys and their clients. He also serves as an expert witness at the state and federal level regarding legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. Mr. Ostermiller is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. Mr. Ostermiller earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Louisville.

Benjamin P. Lemly
is a shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, where he splits his practice between the firm’s Nashville and Lexington offices and focuses on employment law, class and collective actions, wage and hour litigation, and leaves of absence and reasonable accommodation matters. He represents employers across a wide range of industries in complex employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and high-stakes wage and hour claims, and regularly counsels employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws, including the ADA, FMLA, and related statutes. Mr. Lemly also serves as the eiversity, equity, and inclusion ambassador for the firm’s Nashville office, and is a frequent speaker on emerging employment law issues affecting employers nationwide. He is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Kentucky; as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Michigan, Eastern, Middle, and Western districts of Tennessee; and the Eastern and Western districts of Kentucky. Mr. Lemly earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law and his B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

N. Jeffrey Blankenship
is an attorney at Ziegler & Schneider P.S.C. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Kentucky and Ohio. Mr. Blankenship is admitted before the U.S. Supreme Court. He has handled all areas of personal injury and commercial litigation, including car wrecks, premises liability (slip and fall), employment law, Kentucky workers' compensation, family law, probate law, and Social Security disability cases. Mr. Blankenship's practice also encompasses representation of a significant number of small local businesses, such as restaurants, churches, and other nonprofit organizations, retailers, and service providers, whom he advises on both employment and contractual aspects of their businesses, having negotiated numerous mergers and acquisitions, real estate purchases, noncompete, and nondisclosure agreements. He has published or co-published numerous papers on various aspects of legal issues, such as hedonic (loss of enjoyment) damages, the use of child witnesses, a law review article on juvenile-status offenders, and premises liability. Mr. Blankenship earned his J.D. degree from NKU Chase College of Law (top 10 of graduating class); his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Northern Kentucky University; and has also worked toward a master's degree in church music at Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Tanya Yarbrough Bowman
is an attorney with FBT Gibbons LLP, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, including financial institute, real estate, foreclosure, and trust estate litigation; as well as general business counseling. She represents a variety of clients, both large and small, as well as individuals, in state and federal courts across the country. Ms. Bowman is admitted to the bars in Texas, Illinois and Kentucky. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Kentucky Bar Association and the Women Lawyers' Association. Ms. Bowman earned her B.S. degree from Indiana University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law.

John H. Davis
is an attorney in Indiana, where he practices primarily in the areas of family law, bankruptcy and criminal law. He previously taught on topics such as accounting, business mathematics and economics at Alabama A&M University; as well as civil law, family law and dissolution in their paralegal studies program. Mr. Davis has frequently sat as a pro tem judge in Lake County covering civil and criminal cases, and has filed several Petitions for Writ of Certiorari in the United States Supreme Court. He earned his B.S. degree from Woodbury University, his M.B.A. degree from Azusa Pacific University and his J.D. degree from Western State University. Mr. Davis is a member of the Indiana State and Lake County bar associations.
