Speaker bio
Sonia J. Buck
is an attorney at the firm of Pierce Atwood LLP. Her practice areas include foreclosures, loan restructuring, creditors' rights, collection and bankruptcy. Ms. Buck is a trained mediator and has mediated for Maine's Foreclosure Diversion program. She has written several articles for American Bar Association publications and has also published a book, Movie Therapy for Law Students. Ms. Buck has been adjunct faculty at Kaplan University, where she has taught paralegal and business classes. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Southern Maine and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law.

Ernest H. Kohlmyer, III
is a shareholder with Zimmerman, Kiser & Sutcliffe. With nearly 30 years in the legal profession, Mr. Kohlmyer leads a broad commercial practice, focusing on defending corporations and individuals in federal and state courts. His extensive experience in commercial litigation involves complex contract disputes, legal and regulatory compliance, and consumer protection matters. Mr. Kohlmyer is notably recognized for his work on cases involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), including serving as appellate counsel for two landmark TCPA decisions in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Kohlmyer is licensed in six states and represents clients in Florida, Georgia, New York, and the western states of Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. He provides comprehensive legal guidance on commercial disputes, real estate, land use, and international business law. Mr. Kohlmyer earned his LL.M. in global antitrust and economics from George Mason University, LL.M. in transnational commercial practice from Lazarski University, and J.D. from University of Dayton School of Law.
