Speaker bio
James M. Susag
is a seasoned trial attorney with a focus on franchise and dealer disputes, real estate, and complex commercial matters. He has been the lead attorney in over 100 trials and arbitrations in state and federal courts across the country, and in domestic and international arbitration forums. Mr. Susag has the unique perspective of a trial lawyer who has also managed complex litigation and developed strategic legal plans as in-house counsel. Clients appreciate his boardroom-to-courtroom experience in crafting resolutions for their business disputes. Mr. Susag is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Minnesota, Washington and Wisconsin, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh, Fourth and Eighth circuits. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law.

Joseph L. Romero
is a trial attorney with Roxborough, Pomerance, Nye & Adreani, where he focuses his practice in commercial litigation, real estate litigation, business torts, trust litigation, construction litigation, municipal liability, civil rights, employment law and appeals. Mr. Romero earned his B.A. degree from the University of New Mexico and his J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law.

Jonathan J. Schutrum
is an attorney at Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice, negligence, personal injury litigation, product liability law, and tort defense, with a particular emphasis in civil litigation. Mr. Schutrum has successfully prosecuted and defended legal actions in both New York state and federal courts. He also has experience handling and resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution and mediation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schutrum practiced with a civil litigation defense firm in Buffalo. While in law school, he served as an extern at the New York State Attorney General's Office and was a research assistant at the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University. Mr. Schutrum earned his B.A. degree from The George Washington University and his J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law.
