Bruce T. Andersen
is the president of BTA Corporation, a boutique firm located in Los Angeles, California, providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to small businesses. He is a certified public accountant. Mr. Andersen has taught management science and information systems at California State University in Bakersfield. For the last 14 years, he has been a member of the faculty at the University of Phoenix School of Business. Mr. Andersen is a member of California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his B.S. degree from Iowa State University, his M.S.B.A degree from Boston University, his M.B.A. degree from California State University in Bakersfield and his M.S. degree (taxation) from Golden Gate University. After watching the cannabis industry for several years, the firm set up a division specifically for the cannabis industry in 2018, branded as CannabisCPA.tax, providing tax, audit, accounting and systems support to the cannabis industry.

Bruce Bronster
is a renowned hospitality and real estate attorney in Manhattan, as well as a restaurant industry veteran. He started washing dishes in restaurants as a teenager, and through his law practice in New York, he continues to serve the hospitality industry today. Most recently, Mr. Bronster has been working to help restaurants throughout New York navigate the legalities of the coronavirus pandemic and the executive orders issued in response thereto. He is also the founder of Bronster Cares, a pro bono initiative to provide free legal assistance to hospitality workers affected by the pandemic. Mr. Bronster is an active member of the Independent Restaurant Coalition and continues to advocate for the future of restaurants and restaurant workers. He assists new and existing restaurants, food halls, hotels and food purveyors navigate business formation, real estate and leasing issues, intellectual property, employment issues, ADA compliance, food and beverage consulting, licensing, corporate transactions, contract issues and bankruptcy. Mr. Bronster's legal practice also focuses on litigation, and corporate and general business advice. He is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, District of Columbia and U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern districts of New York. Mr. Bronster earned his B.S. degree in accounting, magna cum laude, from New York University in 1987, his J.D. degree from New York Law School in 1991 and his M.B.A. degree from Columbia University in 1998. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association's Hospitality Law Committee.

James Ortiz
is senior accountant with REDW CPAs | Business & Financial Advisors. He has more than 15 years of experience specializing exclusively in the State and Local Tax (SALT) arena, in both a public accounting role at REDW, and as a SALT specialist for an international clothing retailer. In that time, Mr. Ortiz has dealt with sales and use tax compliance for every state in the U.S. and Canada. Since joining REDW in 2014, he has been instrumental in growing the firm's SALT practice. Mr. Ortiz spent four years working with the New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department in multiple divisions, including the Audit & Compliance Division; as well as assisting the department in the development of internal policies and procedures for auditing specialty refund claims. He also has experience preparing and providing audit defense for a variety of state and federal tax credit filings and unique property tax situations involving tribal entities and specialty exemptions. Mr. Ortiz earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of New Mexico and his M.S. degree in accountancy from the University of Phoenix.

Andrew G. Roper
, CPA, CFE is a manager at the firm who is responsible for providing skilled lost profit and claim analysis as well as forensic accounting and investigative services, litigation support services, contract analysis and related accounting services. He will also be focused on providing dispute resolution and business valuation services for our clients spanning a diverse range of industries and fields. Mr. Roper in charge of supervising Vallit’s team of associates and analysts at our Annapolis and Washington, D.C. offices. He is also responsible for communicating with clients, attorneys and partners about complex litigation matters, preparing and reviewing financial models and reports, and preparing trial deposition matters. Mr. Roper earned a dual B.S. degree in accounting and finance from Grove City College.
