Speaker bio
Richard S. Koblentz
is an attorney with Koblentz, Penvose & Froning, LLC. He devotes the greatest portion of his practice to the area of professional responsibility, including legal ethics, attorney discipline, bar admission representation, representation in the areas of attorney conflicts of interest, disqualification of counsel, law firm formations and dissolutions, legal malpractice representation as both plaintiff and defense counsel, and service as an expert witness. In 2024 Mr. Koblentz was awarded the William K Thomas Professionalism of the Year Award by the Cleveland Metropolitain Bar Association. Mr. Koblentz also practices in the areas of complex and general civil litigation, criminal defense, probate, real estate, small business counseling and domestic relations. He has served as president of the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association, is an officer of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association, and is a member of the Council of Visitors at California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He earned his B.S. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Nicholas E. Froning
is an attorney in the law firm of Koblentz & Penvose & Froning, LLC. He practices primarily in the area of ethics and professional responsibility, including law practice management, attorney discipline defense and licensure defense. Mr. Froning regularly presents ethics and professional responsibility seminars to lawyers in Northeast Ohio. He earned his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Mr. Froning is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Westshore Bar Association and various civic organizations.

Susannah J. Schroeder
is an associate attorney at Koblentz, Penvose & Froning, LLC, where she practices in the areas of probate, professional responsibility, and ethics. Originally from Westerville, Ohio, she earned her B.S. degree in education from Miami University before moving to Cleveland, Ohio to attend Cleveland State University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Schroeder served for two years as the editor-in-chief for The Gavel, and competed for the Moot Court team in the Annual Domenick L. Gabrielli National Family Law Competition hosted by Albany Law School and Mardi Gras Invitational Competition hosted by Tulane University. She began her legal career with the firm as a law clerk during her first year of law school. Ms. Schroeder also had the opportunity to extern at both the Cuyahoga County Probate Court and Eighth District Court of Appeals.
