Speaker bio
Michael S. Greene
is the principal partner of Development Law Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate development and finance, real estate acquisition, sale and leasing, construction law, construction contracting and claims resolution, indoor environmental and disaster preparation and recovery, ADA and Accessibility Code, Fair Housing Act hospitality law, land use and zoning law, healthcare facilities (including nursing homes and senior living projects), trademark and copyrights for owners, design professionals and manufacturers, and alcoholic beverage licensing. Mr. Greene represents developers, institutional and entrepreneurial building owners, purchasers, sellers, landlords and tenants, contractors, mold assessors and remediators. He earned his Bachelor of Building Construction degree from University of Florida and his J.D. degree from University of Florida Frederic G. Levin College of Law. Mr. Greene was an advisory board member for the University of Florida's Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies 2008 -2023. He is admitted to practice in Florida.

Jeffrey T. Morris
is an attorney with The Law Offices of Jeffrey T. Morris, where he practices in the areas of zoning, construction, and business and commercial litigation matters. He represents lenders in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, as well as corporate, transactional and construction litigation matters. Mr. Morris is a member of the Pennsylvania, Allegheny (member, Construction Dispute Resolution Group) and American bar associations, as well as the American Arbitration Association (Commercial Arbitration Panel). He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Mr. Morris earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Peter L. Kogan
is counsel in the real estate group of the law firm of Reed Smith LLP. He represents clients in all major aspects of transactional real estate law, including property acquisition and disposition, land use and development, leasing and subleasing, and real estate finance and entity structuring. Mr. Kogan's clients have included large global retailers, professional sports franchises, hotel and restaurant developers, major industrial and manufacturing businesses, software and information technology companies, entities engaged in commercial transportation and waste disposal, and owners of retail and other properties. He focuses his practice on complex transactions involving the multi-purpose development and redevelopment of large-scale properties in Western Pennsylvania and elsewhere, which frequently include extensive and innovative arrangements with public and quasi-public agencies for the use of former industrial, commercial and institutional sites. In connection with such transactions, Mr. Kogan has assisted clients in securing public-private financing, and entering into partnership and development agreements governing the use and development of brownfield and grayfield sites. He has lectured extensively on issues of real estate law and commercial development in Western Pennsylvania. Mr. Kogan earned his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Emory University School of Law.

James A. Beebe
is an attorney at Mette Attorneys At Law. He is a litigator and problem solver whose practice centers on real estate, professional-licensure defense, and administrative law. Mr. Beebe represents real estate brokers, agents, buyers, and other industry participants in all matters ranging from defending brokers and agents in civil lawsuits to handling litigation involving commercial real estate valued in the tens of millions of dollars. His experience also includes briefing and arguing precedent-setting appeals before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, with outcomes that impact billions of dollars in commerce across the Commonwealth. Mr. Beebe also maintains a robust professional-licensure practice, representing and defending clients before nearly every Pennsylvania board and commission including the Real Estate Commission, Board of Medicine, Board of Nursing, Board of Dentistry, Board of Occupational Therapy, Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers, and the Board for Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors. In his state administrative law practice, he has represented clients in administrative proceedings before the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, Public Utility Commission, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and Office of Inspector General. Federally, Mr. Beebe has represented clients both in Federal District Court and Bankruptcy Court, as well as before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He earned his B.A. degree from Temple University; his M.Ed. degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania; and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Widener University Commonwealth Law School.
