Ryan M. Poplawski
focuses his practice on general litigation assisting clients in the areas of personal injury, products liability, professional malpractice and commercial litigation. He approaches litigation matters as a trusted adviser offering clients practical and timely advice throughout the engagement that supports the business and individual objectives of the case. Mr. Poplawski has successfully obtained summary judgments and tried cases to verdict. He frequently advises and defends clients in matters related to trucking litigation, accident investigation, labor law claims, wrongful death suits, and premises and products liability issues. In addition, he advises trucking and transportation clients concerning compliance with safety regulations, the Motor Carrier Safety Act and the Department of Transportation; the best practices to limit exposure; review of contracts and leases; compliance with recordkeeping requirements; and OSHA and contamination matters. Mr. Poplawski also represents institutions, such as major hospital systems, community hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient programs, health care systems and individual clients with New York Mental Hygiene proceedings and matters including: Article 81 Guardianships; Article 17-A Guardianships for the developmentally disabled; and Article 9 petitions for both involuntary retention and treatments over objection. He served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Glenn T. Suddaby in the District Court for the Northern District of New York while in law school.

Kristin L. Norfleet
joined Smith, Sovik, Kendrick & Sugnet, P.C. in October 2000 and was elected to partnership in 2008. She is a trial lawyer and appellate advocate. Ms. Norfleet has successfully tried numerous cases in the areas of premises liability, labor law and motor vehicle accidents in courts throughout the State of New York. Ms. Norfleet focuses her practice on trucking and motor vehicle accident, premises liability and No Fault/Auto Accident claims. She spends most of her time defending restaurant and retail establishments like Carrols Restaurant Group, Burger King, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Tim Hortons, as well as defending trucking companies like McLane Northeast and individuals in claims arising out of auto accidents. Ms. Norfleet received an AV Preeminent rating from her peers through Martindale-Hubbell, was honored in 2013 with the “Forty Under 40 Award from Oswego County Business Magazine, has been included in Super Lawyers Magazine Upstate New York Edition every year since 2013, and was recently included in Best Lawyers 2025 in Litigation/Insurance. She earned her B.A. degree from University of Rochester and her M.A. and J.D. degrees from Case Western Reserve University.

Alyssa M. Christian
is member of the Business and Tax, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Agricultural Services practice groups. She is licensed to practice in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Ms. Christian regularly advises clients on entity formations and dissolutions, business transactions, and guides clients on business succession strategies and management. She is experienced in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing many business agreements. Ms. Christian also enjoys researching various statutes and rules to advise on compliance in heavily regulated industries, including consumer protection laws, professional licensure requirements, and cannabis and liquor laws. Prior to joining Scolaro Fetter Grizanti & McGough, P.C., her work focused on general business counseling, mergers and acquisitions, hospitality and tourism, and regulatory concerns. Ms. Christian earned her BSBA degree, summa cum laude, from King’s College and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law.

Megan K. Thomas
is a sexual harassment attorney and founder of Megan Thomas Law, PLLC, a New York-based firm dedicated to representing employees in cases involving workplace harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. She is known for her direct, fearless advocacy and her commitment to helping clients reclaim their voice and their power. Ms. Thomas is the first in her family to attend law school. Before becoming an attorney, she spent six years teaching in low income schools through Teach For America. That experience grounded Ms. Thomas in service and advocacy, and it continues to influence how she approaches her work with clients. She has also been recognized for her work in advancing conversations around workplace safety, free speech, and women’s rights. Ms. Thomas successfully challenged a public airport’s refusal to display her firm’s advertisement addressing workplace sexual harassment, securing a federal court ruling that reaffirmed First Amendment protections against viewpoint discrimination. She earned her M.P.A. degree from Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs; her M.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas; her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Marist College; and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law.

Marion M. Walsh
is a partner with the law firm Advancement for Orchid Children PLLC, a boutique law firm that aims to help New York students with neurodiverse and emotional complexities receive the educational placements and support needed. She focuses a large part of her practice in assisting students with complex mental health challenges locate an appropriate school placement and services, and transition to college and independence. Ms. Walsh is a past-president of the Board of Directors for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Westchester, and is a member of the Executive Council of the Lower Hudson Special Education Task Force. She has written three books on education law; What Do I Do When? The Answer Book on the No Child Left Behind Act, The Superintendent's Guide to Special Education Policies and Procedures, and Student Discipline and School Safety: Administrator's Guide to Best Practices, Policies & Procedures. Ms. Walsh is admitted to practice in New York, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern districts of New York. She earned her J.D. degree from New York University School of Law and has practiced in Special Education law for over 25 years.

Andrew Kazin
is co-chair of Bronster LLP's Litigation Department and focuses on business litigation, including partnership disputes, securities, employment, environmental, and real estate. He also provides corporate guidance and acts as general counsel to corporate entities. Mr. Kazin has tried jury, bench and arbitration matters to verdict and judgment and represents clients before the Appellate Division, First and Second departments; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Eastern districts of New York; District of Connecticut; New York Supreme Court; and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association's Litigation, European Affairs and and UCC and Commercial Law Committees, New York State Bar Association's Commercial and Federal Litigation Section and the International Bar Association's Litigation, Banking Law and Anti-Corruption Committees. Mr. Kazin is also a member of the Federal Bar Council's American Inn of Court for the Second Circuit. He has been selected every year as a Super Lawyer from 2016 to the present and has an AV Review rating from Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Kazin is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During law school, he clerked for Frank J. Scardilli, Chief Circuit Mediator at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Department of Defense at the Pentagon. Mr. Kazin was an adjunct professor of law at Hofstra University School of Law where he taught fundamental lawyering skills. He also lectures for the New York State Bar Association on judgment enforcement. Mr. Kazin is also a member of the Federal Bar Council's Small Firm Pro Bono Sub-Committee and performs pro bono work for immigrant families and Kids In Need of Defense ("KIND").
