Austin Burdick
is an experienced attorney with The Burdick Law Firm. He is recognized by his peers as an outstanding constitutional and family law attorney, having represented family law clients at the trial court, Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and Alabama Supreme Court. Mr. Burdick is also an experienced criminal defense lawyer having represented clients facing everything from a life sentence to traffic fines. He is a trained civil and domestic relations mediator and has experience with issues involving uncontested divorce, contested divorce, prenuptial agreements, child custody, child support, and criminal defense. Mr. Burdick is a member of the Alabama State Bar, and is licensed to practice in Federal District courts in Alabama, 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Alabama Law Institute Standing Committee on Family Law, which helps the legislature prepare new proposed laws in the area of family law. Mr. Burdick is committed to parents rights to the care and custody of their children and is a member of the National Parents Organization's Alabama Executive Committee. He frequently lectures and instructs on family law issues at continuing legal education seminars and other organized events. Mr. Burdick graduated summa cum laude from the University of Montevallo. He earned his J.D. degree from the Birmingham School of Law, and graduated in the top third of his class.

Joshua E. Hedrick
MBA, CVA, MAFF, is a principal with Baker Tilly's forensic, litigation and valuation services practice. He is a skilled and experienced business appraiser, having worked on more than 1,000 appraisals over nearly 20 years. Mr. Hedrick assists attorneys, investors, c-suite executives and financial institutions in determinations of value. His practice focuses on determinations of economic damages and valuations of businesses, financial instruments, and intellectual property in contentious settings including arbitration, mediation, settlement negotiation, and trial. Mr. Hedrick has been retained as a financial expert in more than 100 matters across a wide range of industries including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, entertainment, transportation, technology, life sciences, retail, distribution and real estate. He earned his B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Appalachian State University and his post-master's certificate in financial analysis at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Mr. Hedrick's involvement includes National Association of Certified Analysts (NACVA), American Society of Appraisers (ASA) – Middle Tennessee Chapter, Business Valuation Resources Leadership Council, Tennessee Justice Center, Board of Directors (Treasurer), and the Greater Nashville Tech Council (Board of Directors).

Falkner Crabtree
CVA, MAFF is a Senior Consultant with Baker Tilly’s forensic, litigation and valuation services practice (FLVS). Mr. Falkner’s valuation experience includes business valuation, equity interests, intellectual property, and other intangible assets for managerial planning, lending, investment, accounting, tax, marital dissolution, restructuring, and litigation purposes. He is experienced in a variety of forensic accounting services. He earned his Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi.

Jason F. Hicks
is a deputy county attorney with Guilford County, North Carolina. He is licensed in both Tennessee and North Carolina. Mr. Hicks is admitted to practice in the Federal District courts of the Middle District of North Carolina and Tennessee, and the Federal Appellate courts of the Fourth and Sixth circuits. Over the course of his career, he has practiced family/divorce law, probate, and civil litigation, as well as elder law, juvenile law, and local government law. Mr. Hicks is a member of the Greensboro, District 24 (NC), Putnam County (TN), Tennessee, North Carolina, and American bar associations. He serves as a member of the board of directors, chair of the community involvement committee, and the fellows committee chairman for the Greensboro Bar Association. Mr. Hicks is currently the immediate past president of the North Carolina DSS Attorney's Association. He is past president of the Putnam County Bar Association and the Upper Cumberland Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Hicks is also the past vice president of the Tennessee Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division. With the North Carolina State Bar Association, he serves on the BarCARES Board of Directors, Council for the Local Government and Public Sector Section, and Council for the Juvenile Justice and Children's Rights Council. Mr. Hicks is a frequent speaker at legal education seminars having presented over eighty continuing legal education presentations. He is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and chief legal advisor for the fraternity. Mr. Hicks is a master member and vice president of the Guilford Chapter, American Inn of Courts and chair for the Program Review Committee, American Inn of Courts. He earned his B.A. degree from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his J.D. degree from Faulkner University, Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. Outside of the profession, Mr. Hicks is involved in the Masonic fraternity, United Methodist Church, and Scouting America (Boy Scouts). He is married to Dr. Megan Henley Hicks and they have two children, John Howard Hicks, II ("Jack") and Elizabeth Jane Hicks ("Libby").

Amber James
is the founder and CEO of New Beginnings Family Law, P.C., where her main areas of practice are divorce, child custody, parental alienation, mediation, adoption, and surrogacy. Prior to opening her own practice, she worked in the Circuit Court of Jefferson County Domestic Relations Division as a law clerk for the Honorable Ralph A. Ferguson, Jr., and in the firm of Shaw-Anderson, LLC. Ms. James earned her B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and her J.D. degree from the Birmingham School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Alabama and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Ms. James is also a board-certified family law trial advocate, having received her board certification from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She is a member of the Alabama State Bar, and the American, Morgan County and Huntsville-Madison County bar associations. Ms. James has previously been recognized as Female Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020 by the Catalyst Center for Business and Entrepreneurship in Huntsville, Alabama. Her firm was chosen as the Professional Services Business of the Year in 2020 by the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce. Her firm is consistently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Huntsville, Alabama and recently received the designation of Best Place for Working Parents.
