Overview
Secure Your Client's Interest in Digital Assets - Before a Filing Mistake Wipes It Out
You do not need to be a blockchain engineer to handle transactions involving digital assets. The 2022 UCC amendments and their subsequent implementation fundamentally changed how the law treats everything from Bitcoin to tokenized real estate, electronic notes, and stablecoins. This course breaks down the new commercial reality into plain English. It guides attorneys through the transition from old filing rules to the new "control" standard, provides a step-by-step roadmap for securing a client's interest in digital collateral, and highlights the immediate pitfalls that can prime an existing lender's position. Register today!
- Master the legal definitions of digital assets and the new rules to establish bulletproof collateral control.
- Learn why digital control always beats a UCC-1 filing and how to prevent your client's lien from being wiped out.
- Gain a clear roadmap for drafting modern security agreements and structuring low-risk digital custody partnerships.
- Discover how to audit legacy files and update old UCC-1 filings before they get primed by subsequent lenders.
