Ryan J. Garman
practices in the areas of estate and tax planning, real estate and corporate law. He counsels clients on estate and tax planning matters, including last will and testaments, revocable and irrevocable trust agreements, estate, gift, GST, and fiduciary income taxation planning, and estate planning for retirement accounts, including IRAs and 401(k)s. Mr. Garman also assists clients with entity formation and selection and represents clients in corporate and real estate transactions. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association's Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law section, and has completed additional LL.M. tax coursework in the field of estate and tax planning. Mr. Garman earned his B.S. degree from Youngstown State University, his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed 9 credit hours in LL.M. (taxation) coursework specifically in estate planning from Western Michigan University.

Sterling Owens
is an attorney with The Law Office of Sterling Owens in Memphis and staff attorney for the Neighborhood Preservation Clinic at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. She practices primarily in the areas of tax, real estate and small business law. Ms. Owens earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University and her J.D. degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Prior to attending law school, she worked in investment real estate in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Memphis, Tennessee.

Marie Yves N. Jean-Baptiste
is the managing owner of The Saint Yves Law Firm, where she focuses her practice on Estates & Trusts and Taxation. She holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.), a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.), and an Estate Planning Certificate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Ms. Jean-Baptiste has extensive experience in litigation, family law, estate planning, estate administration and probate, income tax preparation, and tax controversy matters. She is particularly committed to serving individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, helping them navigate unique legal challenges in family law and estate planning with compassion and strategic guidance. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland State and Federal courts, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court. She also prioritizes pro bono service, assisting individuals and organizations throughout Maryland who are in need of legal representation. Ms. Jean-Baptiste is the former Chairperson of the Baltimore County Bar Association Estates & Trusts Committee, where she organized programming and educational events for fellow practitioners. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Harford County Bar Foundation, an organization dedicated to serving vulnerable populations in Harford and Cecil counties. She is also a member of the Bel Air Lions Club, a service organization committed to supporting local community initiatives. She is a former adjunct professor at Loyola University Maryland, where she taught courses in Law, Ethics & Social Responsibility and Commercial Law. Lastly, Ms. Jean-Baptiste is a former member of the Advisory Board and Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford and Cecil counties, where she supported youth empowerment and access to educational and leadership opportunities.

Ricardo Aponte-Parsi
is a real estate and corporate counsel with a 22+ year track record of assessing risk, managing litigation, and building compliance systems to protect organizational interests. He is a trusted business partner and problem solver, dedicated to delivering exceptional results that advance business objectives through preventive counseling, strategic risk management, and shrewd advocacy. Mr. Aponte-Parsi is a team leader and project manager who builds relationships, leads change, and communicates effectively with private and public stakeholders. He earned his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University, with a major in international relations, and his J.D. degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law. In May 2014, Mr. Aponte-Parsi completed his Master of Laws degree from Northwestern University School of Law and a Certificate in Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. In 2018, he completed a second LL.M. degree at Georgetown University Law School in securities and financial regulation. In 2022, Mr. Aponte-Parsi completed a certification in privacy law from Seton Hall University School of Law. He was president of the Board of the Puerto Rico Education Council, the licensing agency for the Commonwealth, and is currently the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the San Juan Community College. Since November of 2024, Mr. Aponte-Parsi has worked as an associate general counsel at the Office of the General Counsel of the Air Force (SAF/GCN) at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio, Texas. SAF/GCN provides legal and policy advice to members of the Secretariat, air staff, and space staff on virtually all matters relating to the department's 180 installations, nearly 10 million acres of real estate, base realignment, and closure; programs for environmental planning, compliance, and restoration and natural and cultural resources management; and programs for safety and occupational health.
