Overview
Get the Latest Information to Qualify Clients for Benefits
VA benefits law keeps moving. PACT Act implementation, annual compensation adjustments, evolving eligibility rules, proposed benefit reforms, and an increasingly complex claims and appeals system create plenty of opportunities for costly mistakes. Overlook a newly presumptive condition, misjudge a discharge status, or file down the wrong appeals track, and your client's benefits (sometimes years of retroactive compensation) are at risk.
This program gives you a current, practical roadmap. You will leave with a clear grasp of what is newly covered and who newly qualifies, how to obtain and evaluate discharge records (including when a discharge upgrade is worth pursuing), and how to move a claim confidently from intent to file through the appropriate appeal path. Maintain your expertise - register today!
- Learn what is newly covered under the PACT Act and how the 2027 COLA affects disability compensation, DIC, and pension amounts.
- Distinguish settled eligibility rules from proposed restrictions, including means testing, minimum rating thresholds, and TDIU age limits currently under debate.
- Request, read, and act on discharge records with confidence, including when and how to pursue a discharge upgrade.
- Navigate the claims and appeals process from intent to file through Board appeals under the Appeals Modernization Act.
Abbreviated Agenda
- Benefits and Coverage Updates for 2027
- Eligibility Rules and Developments for 2027
- Obtaining and Reviewing Military Records: Discharge Documents and Character of Service
- The VA Claims Process: Representation, Procedure, and Right to Appeal
