Overview

Be Ready to be Surprised

Few trial attorneys have done a focus group where they haven't been shocked by something. Even trial veterans will confess they don't know how jurors think. Yet understanding juror psychology is so integral to courtroom success! In this program, join trial consultant and seasoned trial attorney faculty for an inside look at how jurors make decisions, ways in which different characteristics shape their perceptions, and common attorney-held misconceptions you need to dispel. Arm yourself with the information you need to "select" the right jurors and deliver the right message - register today!

  • Hear a trial consultant's data- and experience-driven insights on juror decision-making, cognitive biases, and group dynamics.
  • Discover subtle ways in which gender, age, education, income, and other influences shape juror perceptions and decision-making.
  • Get real-world examples of how easy it is to misgauge jurors and make poor strategic decisions.
  • Uncover little ways to get more out of trial consultants, focus groups, and post-trial juror interviews.

This program was designed in conjunction with NBI's esteemed 2023-2024 Content Advisory Committee Member Robert J. Kasieta.
