Ashley Kagey
is an attorney with the law firm of Buhl, Little, Lynwood & Harris, PLC. She focuses her law practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration, probate litigation, and elder law. Ms. Kagey is a member of the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council and Probate Section of the Ingham County Bar Association. She earned her B.A. degree from Michigan State University, her M.S. degree from Eastern Michigan University, and her J.D. degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Amy McIntyre
is a associate with Rubin and Rudman LLP in Boston pending bar admission in November. She is a member of the firm's trust and estate department and elder law practice group. Ms. McIntyre concentrates on asset restructuring and Medicaid eligibility. She earned her J.D. from Western New England Law School in May of 2024. Ms. McIntyre served as a junior staff member on the Western New England Law Review for Volume 45, and served as the online content editor for Volume 46. She is a student member of the Massachusetts chapter of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. McIntyre earned a bachelor's degree in legal studies from Becker College, and a master's degree in managerial leadership from Worcester State University.

Lauren E. DeMatteo
is an attorney with the law firm of Rubin and Rudman LLP. She practices in the areas of elder law, estate planning, and trust and estate administration. Ms. DeMatteo assists individuals and families with a wide range of objectives. This includes designing and implementing core, as well as tax and gifting focused estate plans, guiding clients through long-term care planning and supplemental needs planning, and representing individuals and families in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings. She earned her B.A. degree from Saint Anselm College and her J.D. degree from New England Law. Ms. DeMatteo is a class II graduate from the New England Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estates Counsel, and a member of the Boston Bar Association.

Thomas J. Murphy
is an attorney located in the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix. His practice emphasizes estate planning, elder law (including nursing home issues), all probate matters (including contested matters and guardianships), and tax controversies. Mr. Murphy has regularly appeared before the Arizona Court of Appeals, litigating many of the cutting-edge appellate cases in probate law. He has successfully litigated cases in the U.S. Tax Court, Arizona Tax Court, and the Arizona Board of Tax Appeals. Mr. Murphy is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, State Bar of Arizona (Tax Law, Probate and Trust Law, Mental Health and Elder Law sections), and the Arizona Medicaid Planning Council. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Phoenix Tax Workshop and the Editorial Board of NAELA News. Mr. Murphy graduated from Tufts University, with honors, and earned his J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School.

is the founder and lawyer at Lifescape Law & Development. He specializes in elder law, estate planning, special needs planning, mediation, and long-term care planning. Mr. Smith is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Academy of Special Needs Planners, and ElderCounsel. He is an accredited attorney by the Veterans Administration. Mr. Smith earned his MDiv degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary and his J.D. degree from University of Memphis-Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
