Colin Finnegan
is a labor and employment attorney at Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP with experience in litigation and traditional labor matters. He zealously defends employers in claims involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Titles III and VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska state discrimination laws, and other related claims. Mr. Finnegan's experience includes handling all aspects of litigation from the investigation phase through trial. Colin works with employers to create and implement a practical and effective strategy depending on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. In his practice, he also counsels clients in traditional labor matters, including union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practice charges, and union awareness training. Using his extensive knowledge of state and federal labor and employment laws, Mr. Finnegan routinely counsels employers on hiring and firing, drug testing, employment policies and handbooks, and proactive strategies for litigation avoidance. He earned his B.A. degree from Northern Illinois University and his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. Mr. Finnegan is admitted to practice law in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska; and before the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western districts of Missouri; U.S. District Court, District of Kansas; U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska; and U.S. District Court, District of Colorado.

Jill Waldman
is of counsel with Lathrop & Gage LLP. Her practice is devoted to representing employers in workplace matters. Ms. Waldman represents employers in state and federal courts and before governmental agencies, in numerous areas of employment law, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, failure to accommodate, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, defamation, fraud, and a variety of other statutory and common law claims. In addition to litigation, she conducts harassment trainings and provides general counseling to employers on workplace issues, including preventative strategies for minimizing litigation on day-to-day personnel matters. Ms. Waldman earned her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina and her LL.M. degree in labor and employment law from Georgetown University Law Center.

A. Alexander DeMasi
is an attorney at Berkowitz Oliver LLP. He is a dynamic and skilled litigator with significant experience representing and advising clients through complex business and commercial disputes, employment matters, professional negligence claims, and personal injury litigation in state and federal courts across the country. Mr. DeMasi earned his B.A. and B.S. degrees from Creighton University, and his J.D. degree from Creighton University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska; and before the U.S. District Court, Western and Eastern districts of Missouri; U.S. District Court, District of Kansas; U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern districts of Iowa; U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska, U.S. District Court, Western District of Oklahoma; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Nicholas S. Ruble
is a civil litigation defense attorney at Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice LLC. He represents companies of all sizes and industries in employment and labor, personal injury, creditor's rights, and commercial disputes at all stages of litigation or alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Ruble earned his B.A. degree from William Jewell College and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He is co-chair for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) Labor & Employment Law Committee, Steering Committee Member, ALFA International's Labor & Employment Practice Group, and a member of DRI's Employment and Labor Law Committee. Mr. Ruble is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Kansas, and before the U.S. District Courts, Western District of Missouri; Western District of Missouri Bankruptcy, District of Kansas, and District of Kansas Bankruptcy.

Jason Kotlyarov
focuses his practice on providing full-service representation to employee benefit plans, including multiemployer retirement plans, health and welfare plans and apprenticeship plans. Mr. Kotlyarov assists plans with subrogation matters, service provider requests for proposals ("RFPs") and transitions, prohibited transaction evaluation and exemptions, compliance with applicable laws and regulations (including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ["ERISA"] Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ["HIPAA"], Families First Coronavirus Response Act ["FFCRA"] , Affordable Care Act ["ACA"], etc.), cybersecurity related matters, amendment drafting and implementation, regulatory compliance, delinquent contribution collection, qualified domestic relations order ("QDRO") evaluation and processing, litigation and more. Additionally, he performs policy and plan audits for multiemployer plans to ensure that policies, procedures, standards and plan documents are compliant with applicable regulations and are both practical and reflective of the respective plans' operations and needs. Mr. Kotlyarov has experience working with single employer benefit plans, public plans, and others. In addition, he advises other attorneys and investment advisers on ERISA and employee benefits-related matters. He also regularly trains trustees and others on issues involving ERISA and HIPAA. Mr. Kotlyarov earned his B.S. degree from University of Missouri Kansas City, and his J.D. and LL.M. degrees from University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law.
