Richard B. Gantt
is the founder of Gantt Family Law and a North Carolina board-certified family law specialist. He has repeatedly received the Legal Elite designation from Business North Carolina magazine and in 2023 was named to the Legal Elite Hall of Fame. Mr. Gantt has also been recognized by Super Lawyers, Top 100 Magazine, and has been quoted by various news outlets on issues pertaining to his practice area. For many years, he has been rated 10 out 10 by Avvo.com. Mr. Gantt earned his B.A. degree from Wake Forest University, his M.B.A. degree from Regent University, and his J.D. degree from Tulane Law School. He also completed graduate coursework in taxation at Georgetown Law School, interned for the Honorable William Pryor, who was later appointed to a federal appeals Court by President George W. Bush.

Elysia Prendergast-Jones
is managing attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina. She is a board-certified specialist in family law. She supervises other in-house attorneys on family and domestic violence matters, advising on legal precedents, legal instruments, and the correct application of laws and statutes in district, superior and appellate courts. Ms. Prendergast-Jones also speaks at numerous CLE seminars and trainings. She earned her B.A. degree from Coker College, her M.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Webster University and her J.D. degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

Dr. Jerome H. Poliacoff
maintains a private practice in Coral Gables and Boca Raton, Florida, where his time is spent providing both clinical and forensic services. Dr. Poliacoff is a child, adolescent and adult psychologist licensed in the state of Florida since 1984. His training included pre- and post-doctoral internships and training at the Children's Psychiatric Centers in Miami, Florida. Dr. Poliacoff has been a staff consultant to the Northwest Dade Community Mental Health Center, where he conducted the pre-doctoral internship training in child assessment; and on the staff of Charter Hospital of Miami, where he served as co-director of an adult inpatient unit. He is a frequent consulting and testifying expert in both family and dependency courts in Florida's Eleventh, Fifteenth, and Seventeenth Judicial circuits; an expert in cases involving discrimination and harassment claims in federal employment law cases; an expert in the assessment and defense of tort claims for emotional damages in cases involving children, adolescents and adults; and he serves as a Level III third party review expert of pediatric patient insurance appeals for National Medical Review of Pennsylvania. Dr. Poliacoff earned his undergraduate degree from the City University of New York, and his master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Miami, Coral Gables.

Granger Benson
is an attorney with Cape Fear Family Law, where he focuses on family law. He received his undergraduate degree from the Naval Academy. Mr. Benson then spent the next seven years on active duty in the Marine Corps, rising up the ranks to Major. He still serves in the Marine Corps Reserves. Mr Granger earned his J.D. degree from Villanova University in Philadelphia.

is a partner in the law firm of Plumides, Romano & Johnson, PC in Charlotte. She practices in the areas of divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, child support, domestic violence, and criminal matters. Ms. Primiano earned her B.A. degree from Regis University, Denver, Colorado; and her J.D. and L.L.M degrees from the University of New Hampshire School of Law. She is admitted in both North Carolina and Massachusetts. Ms. Primiano is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, Cabarrus County Bar and North Carolina Bar Association.

Amy R. Howard
is an attorney at Plumides, Romano & Johnson, PC. She has dedicated her practice to family and juvenile law, representing clients in uncontested divorces; legal separation; premarital agreements; legitimation and name changes; juvenile defense; and complex equitable distribution, alimony, child support and child custody matters. Ms. Howard is certified as a family financial mediator through the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to serve as a facilitator. She earned her B.A. degree from The Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. degree from Western New England College School of Law.

Brian W. King
started King Law in 2002, in a two-room office above a bar. He had the vision to create a firm that was built around business principles and taking care of clients. It is under his leadership the firm has grown from a small community firm to one of the largest and fastest-growing firms in the Carolinas. Mr. King has served as the attorney for the Rutherford County Department of Social Services, and the McDowell County Department of Social Services, been a member of the North Carolina Child Support Council. He co-authored the book Navigating Adoption and Surrogacy Laws, published by Astapore, a Thomas Reuters business, in 2014. Mr. King is a member of the North Carolina and South Carolina bars, and in 2009 became a family law specialist. He has been elected as president of the Judicial District Bar and has served in various legal leadership positions. Mr. King has been involved in several Court of Appeals cases, with important and often referenced opinions. Community involvement within surrounding counties is also important to him as he actively serves and supports several local organizations including adjunct faculty at Isothermal Community College, Board of Directors/past-president Rutherford Life Services, The Robert & Janice McNair Educational Foundation Mentor, McDowell County Chamber of Commerce guest speaker, secretary of Rutherford County Bar Association, board member at Kidsenses and The American Society of Legal Advocates Top 100 Family Law Attorneys for 2016. Mr. King earned a bachelor's degree in political science from UNC Charlotte and went on to obtain his J.D. degree from Campbell Law.
