Speaker bio
Michael J. Gorby
is a founder and partner with Gorby Peters & Associates, LLC. He is a nationally recognized leader in complex corporate disputes, professional negligence cases, and liability issues that arise for property owners and managers, such as hotel chains, restaurants, shopping centers, apartment complexes, office buildings and other public venues. Since 1998, Mr. Gorby has served as the program chair for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia (an affiliate of the University of Georgia), on the topic of premises liability. He is also the author of a popular legal treatise, Premises Liability in Georgia, which is published by Thomson Reuters/West, and which is now in its third edition. Mr. Gorby serves as an instructor/lecturer for Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) in the area of procuring government contracts, and is also a registered mediator. He earned his B.A. degree from Georgia State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Mark A. Raczkowski
is licensed to practice law in both in both Arizona and California, where he has spent the majority of the past 20 years litigating premises liability cases involving serious injuries caused by dangerous conditions, negligent maintenance, defective stairways and walkways, and falling merchandise. Throughout his career, Mr. Raczkowski has given lectures and published articles for local and national audiences on premises liability cases, trial evidence and litigation; as well as technology in the practice of law. He is a sustaining member of the Arizona Association of Justice and current chair of its Publications Committee.

Kevin R. Diamond
is a shareholder at Thorndal Armstrong Delk Balkenbush & Eisinger. He has primarily practiced in the areas of personal injury defense, products liability, premises liability, business law, general civil litigation, bad faith, construction defect litigation, and real estate law. Mr. Diamond has had a vast array of clients, including hotels, construction companies, transit companies, insurance companies, fitness clubs, grocery stores, restaurants, insurance agents, shopping malls and apartment complexes. He has been involved in the Trial by Peers Program, has served as a mentor for UNLV students, and judges mock trial competitions. Mr. Diamond is a court appointed arbitrator, short trial judge, and mediator. He has also been a professor for UNLV's Hotel College.

Robert J. Kasieta
is the founder of Kasieta Legal Group, LLC in Madison, Wisconsin. He is a certified civil pre-trial and trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Kasieta practices in civil litigation, with an emphasis on plaintiff personal injury and employment cases, as well as commercial litigation. He has written and taught extensively in the areas of trial practice, personal injury law and insurance law, and is an instructor of trial practice at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mr. Kasieta is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Eleventh circuits, and all Wisconsin courts. He is a member of the Dane County Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Kasieta earned his B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from Northern Michigan University and his J.D. degree from Marquette University Law School.

Joseph D. DeGiorgio
is of counsel in the Denver office of Taylor Anderson LLP. He started his legal career in Ohio in 2007, representing large financial institutions in a high-volume setting where he spent most of his days in courtrooms throughout the state. After relocating to Colorado, Mr. DeGiorgio transitioned to an in-house role, where he worked as corporate counsel to a mortgage servicing operation based near Denver, working primarily in a litigation role defending the company against lawsuits filed in nationwide jurisdictions. After a brief period on his own as a solo practitioner, he joined a Denver-based firm where he represented lenders and other financial institutions, primarily in the real estate and bankruptcy realms. Mr. DeGiorgio joined Taylor Anderson LLP with fourteen years of practice experience, nearly all of which have been spent in litigation roles, whether in-house or at a traditional law firm. He is licensed to practice in Ohio and Colorado. Mr. DeGiorgio earned his B.A. degree from Ohio University and his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association.
