Speaker bio
Deirdre M. Salsich
has practiced employment and labor law since 2013, first in New York, then in Maine, and now in New Hampshire for Devine Millimet. Her goal is to help her clients achieve their business objectives through compliance with all federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, and the creation of internal policies and employee handbooks to support the business's mission. Ms. Salsich also assists clients with responding to employment litigation, workplace investigations, and negotiating settlements, and has experience advising clients of all sizes, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, public sector institutions, and non-profits. Understanding the day-to-day reality and long-term plan for each unique client is always a priority. In a previous role, she served as in-house counsel for a large public university system, advising on varied matters including the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work, workplace leaves and accommodations, crisis management, and the full span of employment litigation. Ms. Salsich also has significant experience representing clients in arbitration and before Human Rights Commissions and the EEOC. Tracking new employment legislation at the state and federal levels, and advising on the potential impact for employers is another way that she provides preventative advice and counsel to clients. Having studied abroad in Argentina and Mexico, Ms. Salsich speaks Spanish fluently and enjoy learning about other cultures. Spanish translation and interpretation is another tool in her kit to assist clients with diverse workforces.

Katherine Brustowicz
is an attorney at The Wagner Law Group. Her focus is in the practice areas of employment law, human resources, and civil litigation. Ms. Brustowicz's practice includes drafting employment-related policies and agreements, conducting employee and management training, and representing employers during audits. She also handles litigation in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and in mediation and arbitration regarding issues arising out of the employer-employee relationship; including but not limited to those involving wage and overtime disputes, employment related contracts, compliance, discrimination, and harassment. Ms. Brustowicz earned her B.A. degree from Bates College and her J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire.

Hannah B. Saturley
is an associate with Verrill Dana LLP. Her practice focuses on assisting employers in maintaining compliance with up-to-date legal obligations. With clients' business goals in mind, Ms. Saturley prepares carefully drafted employment agreements and policies, and provides guidance on employee-related concerns. She also advises employers of varying sizes on termination policy, employee relations, discrimination and federal and state leave requirements. Before going to law school, Ms. Saturley completed her Masters of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh. During law school, she worked with the Office of General Counsel at Boston Children's Hospital, where she did legal research on compliance and employer regulations, and was a judicial intern for the Honorable Peter Krupp at Suffolk County Superior Court in Massachusetts. In her free time, Ms. Saturley likes to spend time exploring Maine beaches, swimming with her partner and dog, Charli, and trying new restaurants around the Portland area.
