Katy Spicer
is a partner with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Washington, D.C. where she co-chairs the firm's data breach and privacy litigation group. Ms. Spicer is shaped by her service as a U.S. Marine officer, and she brings over two decades of military leadership experience to her crisis management and disputes practice. Serving first as Marine prosecutor turned civil trial attorney and litigator, Ms. Spicer's practice focuses on consumer protection and advertising class action litigation, government and internal investigations, and data breach and privacy litigation across the country in state and federal courts. Ms. Spicer is a certified information privacy professional US and a certified information privacy manager. She also remains active in the Marine Reserves and is a lieutenant colonel. During her military service, Ms. Spicer completed three combat deployments and a command tour where she led over 500 Marines and sailors located across three states. In her final active-duty military assignment, she was the senior Marine prosecutor for the National Capital Region and first-chaired several felony trials. Ms. Spicer earned her J.D. degree at Michigan State University and her LL.M. degree at The Army Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School. She is admitted to practice in Idaho and District of Columbia.

John E. Rumel
is a professor of law at University of Idaho College of Law. Mr. Rumel is currently serving as a visiting professor at the University of San Fransisco School of Law. He has practiced or taught law in Idaho for over 25 years and is actively admitted to the Idaho State Bar. Mr. Rumel's experience is primarily focused on education law, and employment law although he has previous substantial experience in product liability, commercial and real property litigation, and professional malpractice. He currently teaches evidence, civil procedure, remedies, lawyering process, workplace law, and education law.

Ryan C. Janis
is an attorney and partner with the firm Brassey Crawford, PLLC located in Boise, Idaho. Through his practice he represents a wide variety of clients in all manner of cases and disputes. He has argued before the Supreme Court of Idaho on numerous occasions, and recently got the opportunity to (successfully) argue before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Portland. He has also tried a wide variety of cases all around the state of Idaho and he considers himself, first and foremost, to be a trial lawyer as that is where his passion lies and where he believes the biggest difference can be made through the practice of law.
