Speaker bio
Scott F. Walterbach
is a partner at Bessine Walterbach, LLP, a small law firm in the Kansas City where he has worked since 2010. He practices in high-volume collections and creditors' rights. Mr. Walterbach represents clients throughout Missouri and Kansas seeking to collect medical debt, student loans, rent, utilities and various other consumer obligations. He handles litigation, post-judgment collection, policies and procedures, compliance, risk management, client relations, business development and personnel. Mr. Walterbach also defends against consumer protection lawsuits, handles worker's compensation claims, bankruptcy claims, probate claims and hospital liens. He earned his B.A. degree from Truman State University, his M.P.D. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. Mr. Walterbach is past president of the Missouri Collectors Association, past president of the Missouri Creditors Bar, Inc. and past president of the Kansas Creditor Attorney Association.

Franklin S. Yudkin
is the principal of the Yudkin Law in Louisville, Kentucky. He practices primarily in collections and debtor/creditor matters. Mr. Yudkin has been a frequent speaker on collection topics, and also searches the internet and various data bases to locate debtors. He is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana State bar associations, Commercial Law League of America and National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. Mr. Yudkin earned his B.A. degree from Indiana University and his J.D. degree from the University of Louisville.

Shannon P. Miller
is a partner with the law firm of Maurice Wutscher LLP. His practice focuses on various aspects of financial services law, with an emphasis on consumer financial services litigation and compliance. Mr. Miller has successfully represented financial and health institutions throughout the country for claims filed under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act and various state consumer protection statutes. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as in the United States District courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the Eastern District of Tennessee, the Northern District of Illinois, the District of Maryland, the District of New Mexico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Miller is a member of the American Bankers Association, ACA International, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI), and the American Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree from Wittenberg University and his J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law.
