Andrew P Van Osselaer is an attorney with Haynes and Boone, LLP where he represents commercial policyholders in disputes with their insurance companies, defends clients against environmental liabilities, and advises on insurance solutions to risks identified in business transactions. Mr. Van Osselaer is a frequent speaker and author on subjects pertaining to insurance coverage and environmental law, including matters related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other emerging contaminants. He is Chair-Elect of the Austin Bar Association's Insurance Section, Co-Chair of the Environmental & Energy Subcommittee of the ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Section, and a planning committee member for the Texas Bar's Environmental Superconference. Mr. Van Osselaer was also recognized as “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America, Woodward/White, Inc. in the area of Insurance Coverage and as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters. He earned his B.A. degree with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. degree with high honors; Chancellor; Order of the Coif; Managing Editor, Texas Law Review from The University of Texas School of Law.
