Khalid Aziz
is an attorney in Miller Nash's Seattle office. He represents policyholders in disputes with their insurance companies and has successfully recovered policy benefits from a wide range of insurance policies, including commercial general liability, property, builders risk, pollution liability, employment practices, and professional liability. Mr. Aziz is dedicated to holding insurers accountable when they deny, delay, or fail to fulfill the promises made to their policyholders. He works closely with clients to identify and address bad-faith conduct by insurance companies, such as prolonging investigations without justification, prioritizing their own financial interests ahead of their insureds', or wrongfully limiting coverage when the policy/law provides otherwise.

Thomas F. Ahearne
is a principal at the Seattle law firm of Foster Garvey PC. He also is a founding member of the insurance coverage practice group, which represents the policyholder/claimant side in coverage disputes and resulting litigation against insurance companies in federal and state courts. A significant portion of Mr. Ahearne's insurance coverage practice revolves around duty to defend, indemnification, investigation, and good faith issues relating to construction disputes, condominium litigation, directors' and officers' claims, and municipal liability suits, as well as property damage losses and related business interruption/lost profits claims. He has lectured extensively on insurance coverage issues for various trade groups, associations, and other legal and insurance industry professionals. Mr. Ahearne is a member of the King County (Litigation Section), Washington State (Litigation Section), Federal (Litigation Section) and American (Tort and Insurance Section and Insurance Litigation Committee) bar associations, as well as the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (WDTL). He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Chicago.

is a partner with Armstrong Teasdale LLP where her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, with respect to a wide range of issues in both state and federal courts and before regulatory agencies and commissions. Andrew P. Van Osselaer
is an attorney with Haynes and Boone, LLP where he represents commercial policyholders in disputes with their insurance companies, defends clients against environmental liabilities, and advises on insurance solutions to risks identified in business transactions. Mr. Van Osselaer is a frequent speaker and author on subjects pertaining to insurance coverage and environmental law, including matters related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other emerging contaminants. He is Chair-Elect of the Austin Bar Association's Insurance Section, Co-Chair of the Environmental & Energy Subcommittee of the ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Section, and a planning committee member for the Texas Bar's Environmental Superconference. Mr. Van Osselaer was also recognized as “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America, Woodward/White, Inc. in the area of Insurance Coverage and as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters. Stephen Wah
is an attorney with Blank Rome LLP counseling and represents policyholders in a wide range of complex insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Wah has advised clients on insurance coverage under an array of forms and policies, including commercial crime, cyber, directors & officers, employment practices liability, errors & omissions, event cancellation, fidelity, general liability, products liability, property, and workers' compensation. Mr. Wah has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, hospitality, entertainment, financial services, professional services, and retail. He has successfully recovered over a hundred million dollars in wrongfully denied insurance proceeds and related damages. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Wah earned his B.A. degree, cum laude and magna cum laude, from SUNY College at Buffalo and his J.D. degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University. While attending law school, he was the editor-in-chief of the Cardozo DR Competition Honor Society and staff editor of the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender. Alexander H. Berman
is an attorney with Blank Rome LLP policyholder-only insurance recovery practice. Mr. Berman represents corporate policyholders in complex insurance disputes, and handles civil actions encompassing various insurance coverage issues, including preemptive coverage analysis, pre-litigation advocacy and negotiation, and litigation. He advises policyholders on the resolution of complex coverage disputes under various lines of insurance, including commercial general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and professional liability, food recall, and cyberinsurance policies. Prior to joining Blank Rome, Mr. Berman served as a legal intern for the Civil Fraud Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and as a legal extern for the Civil Litigation at the Office of the Attorney General of the District of Columbia.
