Collin W Brown is a member of Alexander Ricks, where he focuses his practice on land use and zoning. Mr. Brown regularly advises local government officials, bodies and boards on land use issues. He is active in helping further green and sustainable growth initiatives in the Charlotte region. Mr. Brown is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), a distinction he earned through the Green Building Certification Institute. As a LEED AP, he has a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, as well as the LEED Rating System. Mr. Brown was the first North Carolina attorney to earn this credential. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar (Zoning Planning and Land Use Section) and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Mr. Brown earned his B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi, his J.D. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and his M.P.A. degree from Georgia State University.
