Erin J McLaughlin is a shareholder and a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Group, handling complex employment matters and provides strategic, day-to-day guidance to employers on their personnel matters. She defends clients against employment discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, breach of contract and wage and hour claims. Ms. McLaughlin has also represented clients in investigations and litigation brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). She further protects her clients' business by prosecuting trade secret and restrictive covenant cases. Ms. McLaughlin earned her B.A. degree in political science with a minor in business from Ohio University and her J.D. degree from Duquesne University School of Law. Her civic and charitable contributions include Career Literacy for African American Youth (CLAAY) mentor, Neighborhood Legal Services Protection From Abuse Program, McKees Rocks Clinic, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown, Inc., board of directors and Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh, former board member. Ms. McLaughlin is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. She is admitted to practice in U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia; U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western districts of Pennsylvania; and U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern districts of West Virginia.
