Frances C Wilburn is a commercial litigator and bankruptcy attorney with Offit Kurman, Attorneys At Law, and represents national and community-based landlords, property managers, lenders and individuals with an interest in real estate. Acclaimed for her skill and clarity in and out of court, Ms. Wilburn applies her knowledge and experience to assist clients in a broad variety of practice areas such as litigation stemming from commercial lease disputes, eviction actions, secured transactions, property dispositions, workout agreements, foreclosures, creditors rights, bankruptcy and general commercial matters. With this background, she effectively advocates on behalf of her clients in all stages of litigation and the enforcement of commercial loan and lease remedies. Additionally, Ms. Wilburn has experience handling commercial leasing transactional matters and transactional matters for financial institutions with a focus on loan transactions secured by real property. Ms. Wilburn frequently manages multi-million-dollar claims but also offers the same level of assistance for litigation matters of all sizes. As a first-chair trial lawyer with extensive courtroom experience, Ms. Wilburn has won recognition from clients and colleagues alike. Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Ms. Wilburn practiced commercial litigation at a renowned Washington, D.C. firm, where she routinely acted as lead counsel in commercial litigation cases throughout the country. In law school, Ms. Wilburn served as a legal intern for a large publicly traded construction company focusing on infrastructure construction projects across the United States. In that capacity, she served as part of the in-house legal department and assisted with national litigation matters involving construction law. She also interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for the Felony Division Chief, where she gained daily courtroom experience.
