Speaker bio
Matthew Johnson
practices law at Johnson & Gubler, P.C., where he brings decades of experience in insurance defense, personal injury, construction defects, bankruptcy, and complex commercial litigation. He is board certified in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification - an honor held by only a select group of attorneys in Nevada. Mr. Johnson has served as a partner at several prominent firms, including Hutchison & Steffen and Lavelle & Johnson, P.C., and currently serves on the Business Reorganization and Real Estate committees of the American Bankruptcy Institute. He has authored legal materials and taught CLE courses on bankruptcy, arbitration, and real estate. Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Nevada, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Weber State University, a Master of Arts in Languages and Literature from the University of Utah, and his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Anders Sleight
is of principal at Offit Kurman, Attorneys At Law. He is an experienced trial attorney and litigator with more than thirteen years' experience and a knack for helping clients reach efficient resolutions. An experienced commercial litigator, Mr. Sleight focuses his practice on advising and representing small businesses, banks, credit unions, servicers, property owners, agencies and individuals in litigation matters throughout Virginia and the District of Columbia. He knows that litigation is expensive, time consuming and rarely arises at a good time for businesses and organizations. Accordingly, Mr. Sleight draws on his experience with local practices and judges to seek efficient, fair and just resolutions for clients. He routinely represents and advises clients regarding real estate matters, including buy/sell/lease transactions, title disputes, easements, landlord/tenant and eminent domain/condemnation actions. Mr. Sleight has represented the Virginia Department of Transportation, property owners, beneficiaries, landlords, property managers, buyers and realtors. As a Virginia native and real estate enthusiast, he understands the complex and ever-changing issues that can arise in the real estate marketplace. Mr. Sleight earned his B.A. degree from University of Virginia and his J.D. degree from George Mason University.

Frances C. Wilburn
is a commercial litigator and bankruptcy attorney with Offit Kurman, Attorneys At Law, and represents national and community-based landlords, property managers, lenders and individuals with an interest in real estate. Acclaimed for her skill and clarity in and out of court, Ms. Wilburn applies her knowledge and experience to assist clients in a broad variety of practice areas such as litigation stemming from commercial lease disputes, eviction actions, secured transactions, property dispositions, workout agreements, foreclosures, creditors rights, bankruptcy and general commercial matters. With this background, she effectively advocates on behalf of her clients in all stages of litigation and the enforcement of commercial loan and lease remedies. Additionally, Ms. Wilburn has experience handling commercial leasing transactional matters and transactional matters for financial institutions with a focus on loan transactions secured by real property. Ms. Wilburn frequently manages multi-million-dollar claims but also offers the same level of assistance for litigation matters of all sizes. As a first-chair trial lawyer with extensive courtroom experience, Ms. Wilburn has won recognition from clients and colleagues alike. Her clients trust her to handle sensitive, high-value claims and transactions and they rely on her pragmatic guidance to solve contentious, multi-party disputes. Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Ms. Wilburn practiced commercial litigation at a renowned Washington, D.C. firm, where she routinely acted as lead counsel in commercial litigation cases throughout the country. In law school, Ms. Wilburn served as a legal intern for a large publicly traded construction company focusing on infrastructure construction projects across the United States. In that capacity, she served as part of the in-house legal department and assisted with national litigation matters involving construction law. She also interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for the Felony Division Chief, where she gained daily courtroom experience.

Richard J. Fox
is an attorney with the Law Office of Richard J. Fox PLLC, where his practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate. As legal counsel, he represents buyers, sellers, and lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including title searches and closing. As a title insurance agent, Mr. Fox reviews title opinions and issues title insurance policies. He is admitted to practice in Vermont and Massachusetts, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Mr. Fox is a member of the Vermont, Massachusetts, and Chittenden County bar associations; and is an agent for Vermont Attorneys Title Corporation. He earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers College and his J.D. degree from The George Washington University Law School.

Kimberly A. Jackson
is with The Robilee, Staffred & Emile Group located in Castle Pines, Colorado. She has worked with both environmental organizations, and oil and gas operators on issues of land use, regulatory compliance, ownership rights (surface, mineral, and royalty), conservation easements, air quality regulations, NEPA compliance, and public health and safety issues as they apply to populations impacted by mineral extraction. Ms. Jackson is a licensed nurse, earning her PN certification from the Community College of Denver; her B.A. degree from the University of Colorado; and both her J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She is currently licensed in both New Mexico and North Dakota.
