Joseph Kovecses is a shareholder at Lowndes in the firm's Orlando office, where he represents property owners, developers, and businesses in land use, zoning, code enforcement, and complex commercial litigation matters throughout Florida. He guides clients through all phases of the development process, from due diligence and entitlement strategy to public hearings and final approvals, and frequently appears before county and municipal boards advocating for comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, and development orders. Drawing on more than a decade of litigation experience, Mr. Kovecses crafts strategic, defensible solutions in administrative proceedings and state and federal courts, including matters arising under Florida's Community Planning Act, and is recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and before the U.S. District courts for the Middle, Northern and Southern districts of Florida. Mr. Kovecses earned his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.S. degree in biology from the University of Central Florida.
