Matthew M Dwyer is an attorney at Hutton & Hutton Law Firm. Before joining the firm, Mr. Dwyer was an Assistant District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District of Sedgwick County, Kansas for over a decade. During his tenure, he prosecuted felony cases ranging from Attempted Capital Murder and First-Degree Murder to the Manufacturing and Distribution of illegal narcotics. Mr. Dwyer worked closely with multi-agency law enforcement teams to prosecute gang activity, large-scale burglary and theft operations, and complex criminal organizations. Shortly after joining the firm, he was appointed co-lead counsel in the national opioid litigation on behalf of the City of Wichita, which resulted in a multi-million dollar recovery for the city and local community. Mr. Dwyer has successfully litigated cases involving wrongful death, medical malpractice, surgical errors, amputations, optometry malpractice, dental malpractice, pharmaceutical products, nursing home negligence, school liability, harassment and bullying claims, security breaches, §1983 claims, civil rights violations, sexual abuse of minors, sexual abuse of prisoners, elder sexual abuse, car wrecks, train collisions, semi-truck collisions, the Kansas Tort Claims Act, the Federal Tort Claims Act, and the Military Claims Act. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas and is admitted to practice law in Kansas.
