During law school, she served as the president of the Equine Law Society, was the first paid student legal assistant at the University of Kentucky Rosenberg Legal Clinic and was admitted to practice law on a limited license by the Kentucky Bar Association in her 3L year. Through her limited practice, Ms. Weimer volunteered outside her work and school hours to provide Pro Bono legal services, both through the Legal Clinic, and by volunteering in Eastern Kentucky after tragic flooding in August 2022. She also worked for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for three years, specializing in international trade, and for the U.S. Department of Agriculture prior to that. Ms. Weimer is presently a member of the Maryland Bar Association, and currently serves as secretary to the Agricultural Law Section.
