Sidney C Calloway is a partner at Shutts & Bowen LLP and serves as managing partner of the firm's Fort Lauderdale office. He is co-chair of its Government Law Practice Group, where he focuses on complex, high-exposure commercial litigation, land use and zoning, local government law, eminent domain, and corporate governance matters. A Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Civil Trial Law, Mr. Calloway has served as lead counsel in more than 140 complex jury trials in state and federal courts involving real estate, employment and civil rights claims, and other significant business disputes, and he regularly advises private sector clients and public agencies on risk management, compliance, and governmental affairs. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia; before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; and the U.S. District courts for the Southern and Middle districts of Florida. Mr. Calloway earned his J.D. degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his B.A. degree from Florida State University.
