Simon H Bloom is the founder of Bloom Parham, LLP. In a time when nearly all substantial civil cases settle, his extensive trial experience is both rare and extremely valuable to a litigant. Mr. Bloom's real estate expertise covers everything from zoning and permitting to closings, construction defects, homeowner disputes, eminent domain, and complex tax appeal litigation. Beyond real estate, he has handled high-stakes employment and partnership disputes, IP litigation, and a range of contentious commercial matters. Mr. Bloom graduated from the University of Virginia, earning both his B.A. degree, with distinction, and his J.D. degree. He then clerked for two U.S. District Court judges in the Northern District of Alabama. Georgia Super Lawyers lists Mr. Bloom among the Top 100 lawyers in Georgia. Since 2009, he has been included annually as a Super Lawyer or Rising Star. Mr. Bloom has been recognized by the Fulton County Daily Report in its "On the Rise" edition and named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle's "Top 40 Under 40." Georgia Trend regularly includes him in its annual Legal Elite edition. In addition to offering personalized attention to clients, Mr. Bloom writes and teaches CLE seminars throughout the Southeast. He also served nine years as an adjunct professor at Emory University, where he taught the pre-trial litigation clinic. Mr. Bloom is routinely recognized for his service to the community. He was twice appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to the Governor's Commission on Public Service and Volunteerism, and also served as chairman of the state board of the Department of Community Affairs. In 2023, Mr. Bloom received the prestigious Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service from the Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism, highlighting his service to community, state, and profession. In 2025, the Georgia Supreme Court appointed him to a three-year term on the State Disciplinary Board, which investigates professionalism and ethics complaints against Georgia attorneys. He devotes considerable time to improving the life outcomes of disadvantaged children in Metro Atlanta. Mr. Bloom has been a long-time supporter, donor, board member, and leader within the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, serving in roles from volunteer to county board president to executive committee member of the corporate board. He was named BGCMA Board Member of the Year in 2012 and became board chair in 2020. In 2022, Mr. Bloom received the National Service to Youth Award and was named Georgia’s Board Member of the Year. In 2023, he was appointed to the National Board of Trustees. Consistent with his commitment to youth, Mr. Bloom serves on the Executive Committee for the Atlanta Police Foundation Board of Trustees, focusing on crime prevention and early intervention through the APF At Promise Center. He also serves on the Board of Visitors for Georgia State University College of Law and has held positions with the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta, Atlanta Regional Board for Teach for America, Great Promise Partners, Marcus Autism Center, and Open Hand. Originally from North Miami, Florida, Mr. Bloom now lives in Druid Hills with his wife and their three daughters. For more than 25 years, he has hosted the popular Pig Gig in his backyard, an annual event that has raised over $1 million for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
